Texans Have The Biggest Haboobs
I used to see basically that every day driving home in Pheonix in August in the 90's. Don't know if it's still like that, but it was pretty amazing back then. It's crazy driving into it, the sun dims and turns red, you have to switch A/C to internal air because otherwise sand comes in. If you're outside sand scrapes your face and gets in your eyes.
Laibach -- The Whistleblowers (live in North Korea)
Wow, I haven't heard Laibach since I was in college in the mid ninties! That song kicks ass, I'll have to catch up on their stuff.
DIY Rocketeer Building Self-Landing SpaceX Model Rockets
Ughh, make the video when the guy can land it. That's great that he got this far with a music degree, but he hasn't accomplished f*ck all yet! A few Caltech freshman could probably have one landing in a week.
Black Panther — Creating an Empathetic Villain
Don't get why this movie was so popular, it had so many problems! The main one being they have a futuristic afro society (awesome!), but it's a monarchy (oh), and one that is determined by single combat (what?). It's not even fair single combat, the panther tribe gets to take performance enhancing drugs. Then the king loses and there is a coup because they don't like the new guy. Are they not smart enough to have a modern democracy? Did they learn their lesson after the coup? Nope!
Let's put aside that vibranium makes no sense and just say they have super technology - flying cars, lasers, etc. Yet they are running around with swords, spears and war rhinos! They put a lot of lip service towards helping people world-wide yet their own people are still living in huts! Why do they have a segregated military, when is that ever good?
Killmonger was a decent villain though, I'll give them that, mostly because most superhero villains are one dimensional mindlessly evil fools.
I'm High As Balls, Wanna See My Special Talent
Love how mom recorded that and put it on YT!
Oh, Hi there!
That was a little embearrassing.
Jordan B. Peterson | Real Time with Bill Maher
He's a conservative, so many progressives don't like his positions. Personally, as a progressive moderate, I think he's pretty interesting to listen to, though I disagree with some things he says. He's a rare conservative intellectual, the kind that don't make up bullshit to support their positions.
He seemed pretty okay here. A bit simplistic maybe. It's all because of Leftist policies in academia? C'mon. Agree on moral posturing. Agree on exposure being better than coddling in general. Agree on more authoritative parenting (at least more than what I see as the norm now).
You guys must know something about him that I don't.
Exorcist walking
Is that a mic pack on her rear right side?
As the other girl is pretty much wearing the exact same outfit, I'm leaning towards shenanigans.
Blade Runner 2049: Most Complicated Sex Scene of All Time
Agreed, it was extraordinary.
The movie is flawed, I can see why it didn't do well, waaaay too long. My biggest gripe is that we never get an insight into what K is thinking, we're just observing him the whole time. Overall I enjoyed it, but have to wait awhile before slogging through it again at 3 hours.
Thanks. I thought it was arguably the most interesting scene in the movie.
How An 80s Arnold Schwarzenegger Film Predicted Our Future
It's about time for it. Or a decent version of 1984.
I'm still waiting for them to make a movie about that book. Same for World War Z.
Space Battleship Yamato: The Movie - Trailer
I agree with both of you, having said that, I still want to watch the hell out of this movie and play the hell out of space fighter games. I'll probably die long before the genre ever does.
Agreed. That's why, in my estimation, a bucket of pebbles would make a better space weapon than the most powerful explosives.
Space Battleship Yamato: The Movie - Trailer
When our grandchildren watch these movies they will wonder why we thought that people would pilot fighters in the future. In about 20 years most if not all modern fighters will be AI piloted and vastly superior to human pilots.
Bad driver gets 'accidentally' PIT-ed
Still, continuing to pass when he put his signal on wasn't the best move.
Building Worlds First Permanent Nuclear Waste Disposal Site
No discussion of traveling wave or thorium reactors. There is new tech that uses fuel much more efficiently and produces less waste.
Kitty plays 'smell my butt' with new friends
"This is mine, that is mine, all of this is now mine."
