If we're to disregard Halloween as "evil" because of it's paganistic roots, then we'd have to throw out so much more. As many sifters have pointed out in the past, so many holidays that are held dear nowadays have their origin in paganism, such as Yule for Christmas, the feast of Ishtar for Easter, etc. THEN we should start disregarding the names of the days of the week, THEN we should go for months of the year!

The Bible even advocates partaking of "pagan holidays" to an extent. In 1Corinthians 8, it talks about how one can partake in other religions' celebrations, even to the extent of if the meat has been "sacrificed to idols." The only reason it says to NOT partake of said celebration is if you doing so causes a fellow believer to stumble.

...and seriously, Mr. Robertson. Knock it off. You're embarrassing the rest of us.

As a born-again Christian myself, this woman offends me thoroughly. I remember bursting out laughing when she was publicly saying, "There's a Communist in the White House"...until I found out she was dead serious.

Instead of responding to the questions, she kept deferring to Bible verses. What she refuses to acknowledge is that people who aren't Christians aren't expected to live like Christians. That accompanied with her absolute stupidity makes me shake my head that people think of her (and people like her) as representative of all Christians.

Actually, a friend of mine was at this convention, and he found out from Mr. Spiner himself about this.

According to him, he's totally fine with being photographed -- he just doesn't like being videotaped. He said unlike (most) photos, videos can be manipulated and misconstrued, and he would rather control what footage of him gets out to the public...which, I'm assuming, is why he just did NOTHING in this video.

But I CAN *beg for votes, right?
