I guess frogs do have a set of "teeth" if you can call them that so it might actually be a little painful. Although I find it difficult to believe it would be strong enough to break the skin.

Very, very excited. It's not going to suck - Ridley Scott doesn't make bad movies.


However, he has made a string of very mediocre movies lately. He has definitely become more mainstream as he has matured as a director. He certainly isn't as bold as he was earlier in his career with Alien and Blade Runner. Regardless, Ridley Scott even considering sci-fi again is really all I need to keep living. I still am looking forward to this movie very much regardless of how much it tramples all over the Alien "mythos".

I'm liking that they put a song into the trailer and fit it to that. The scenery and armor/costuming looks amazing as I ever could have dreamed.

Things I wish were so:
- I really wish that Guillermo Del Toro would have directed this instead of Peter Jackson. I really think he could have done a better job than PJ.
- Mr. Tolkien himself gave up on trying to make a version of The Hobbit a LOTR prequel, so I hope they don't get bogged down in that too much and try to stay true to the original story.

I will miss this stalwart supporter of Atheism and common sense analysis of situations. I didn't agree with him for everything, but more often than not, I would sit and listen to what he had to say. You have to earn the right to be a jerk and give the whole world the middle finger, I think he earned it.

While this is very beautiful, what bothers me about it is just how much the human plague has spread on the world. I really hope some sort of filtering was put on those images as those cities look very bright.

I like the fact that the news anchor won't even admit that the world is getting warmer. Like it is some sort of trap. Does he not hear about the glaciers melting in Greenland or paths in the northern ice cap being accessible for one of the first times ever in recorded history? You can stomp your feet all you want about how climate models are wrong/complicated or that it is man made or due to solar regulations. However, I don't think you can deny the world is getting warmer, it's called a thermometer and a pencil and paper for note taking.

American democracy fail. I wish we could get our 16% of atheists in elected office that represent me and other secular beliefs. The downside is that if it was a complete proportional electorate they'd be drowned out by the 40% of the representatives being complete religious zealots. Ughh, wish there was a better system to get reasonable laws out of our government instead of this lowest common denominator approach that elections bring.

At $500 a shot for those rockets... I think I'd rather just get mugged. I don't have that kind of money to be disposing of, what am I a Republican?

There are so many things awesome with this clip, I had to up vote! I love the animation of how he eats the pizza with his fat rolls with one hand. I also want to know what they did for the foley effects of the pizza getting eaten.

I love how he calls out the right-wing American sensationalism. I'm so sick of the position that America can't do wrong based on our ideals. However, in reality there ARE social classes and there is an issue with social class mobility.

These people are going to a baseball game. They have some disposable income. I love how people become stupid liars when they get caught sometimes.

Maybe I've been watching too many episodes of hoarders, but with the sound of food containers "crunching" in the background and a fly on the screen. This just makes me suspect of their cleanliness.

Wow, just want to say good for her for standing her ground. That kind of back handedness is awful and ever present still in our society.
