She's noting a parallel of the corruption of money to an old Bible story. I believe the point of this quote isn't about religion, but rather that corruption through money is nothing new.

So much cynicism in the comments. Remember when you were young and un-jaded and you'd simply enjoy something for what it was? Full of optimism and seeing the glass half full rather than half empty? I'm guilty of being cynical myself, but sometimes it is just worth it to laugh and love in life without feeling the need to announce every slight suspicion of anything you suspect is out of place.

I've been bungee jumping a few times and the operators will tend to dunk you waste deep on purpose if you're a smart arse or cocky about jumping.

They did this to one of my mates and had a good laugh as he was jumping and told us what they did to put him in his spot.

All in good fun though, our friend lived and laughed about it.
