Is Poverty Necessary?
Actually, it probably wont.. All the stats point in the same direction: reducing childhood/maternal mortality, eradicating poverty and educating people seems to have an interesting side effect: People have less kids. Typically a poor, uneducated population with 10-15% child mortality theres 5-6 kids per woman, whilst rich, educated populations CM less thand 0.2% or so, 1-2 kids per woman. So the population growth slow down or stops as countries move from developing to developed.
The next problem will be birth control. Sorry but it's true.
Rats are expert swimmers and can climb up into your toilet.
One of my favourite chapters in may favourite book "The Ancestor's Tale" is about rats, and a quite erie science-fiction scenario with rodents having human level intelligence among their future descendants. They are almost certainly the best mammallian candidate for surviving the (human) apocalypse.
Guns with History

Gun related: 8,561
Dishonest use of numbers. the "gun related" tallys the number of people killed by gun violence ie people shot and killed intentionally by other people, it does not include suicide (about 20k dead a year) or accidental shootings (about 700 dead a year)
Secondly, lets look at these other causes of death: Lets see, all of these, except drunk driving, is people KILLING THEMSELVES, unintentionally. Theres a pretty big difference. Drunk driving is ILLEGAL, and nobody is arguing that it would be a good idea to have more of it. And you know, its not like we're trying to get more people killed by tobacco, for instance, in fact, lots of people are working on trying to lower the number of deaths from all these other things, but just because more people die from alcohol or tobacco use, ten to fifteen thousand murder by guns a year doesnt really count??
Secondly, people are on the whole not actually working to get guns BANNED, but to implement restrictions, perhaps in the same way owning and driving a car has its restrictions. Cars, you see, are not banned. But there are RESTRICTIONS. Does anyone feel there arent enough cars around?. No. But there are restrictions. You need a drivers license. you need to follow some traffic rules. Similar things could be implemented for guns. It would be a start.
Another place to start is gun CULTURE, which is probably the intent of this video, changing people minds about guns.
Heres a challenge to your statistics: The number of people SAVED by guns. We always hear of the elusive situation of a bad criminal breaking in to kill your family, but luckily dads an NRA member and chases the bad guy away with a trusty old gun. How often does shit like that ever actually happen?
Serving McDonalds to food experts?
What the fuck does "organic" mean anyway? ALL food is organic. Perhaps with the one exception: salt. Can anyone think of any non-organic foods?
Rubik's Cube Magician Steven Brundage fools Penn & Teller...
I think its possible, i just tried, but the scrambled sides wont really be scrambled, if you freeze the video, you can see that they end up sort of checker-patterned. The hardest part is figuring out how to place the wrong pieces. in a solve I use the same general pattern every time, so doing it wrong on purpose is hard. I managed to get 3 perfect sides except 1 sidepiece (which could be hidden with a thumb while the 3 other sides remained sort of scrambled.
edit: I got it working! 3 sides solved, 3 "scrambled"

Is it possible to solve 3 sides of a Rubik's cube whilst the opposite sides are scrambled?
I think he solves the cube in the bag when he reaches in to take it out. I wonder if he is doing the behind the back toss one the same way. I can only imagine that for the last trick he is able to eye up Teller's cube and "solve" his one to match, which would be pretty astounding even without all the sleight of hand.
Rubik's Cube Magician Steven Brundage fools Penn & Teller...
I solve the cube at like a minute or so, so I'm not terrible at the cube, but Ive only caught one trick so far , at 1.57 he only solves the red/green/white side and leaves the blue/orange/yellow sides looking scrambled. he then simply flips the cube so it now looks solved, you can see he starts scrambling* right away so they wont catch him out.
*probably isnt scrambling but actually a trained sequence to get to the next trick.
Rubik's Cube Magician Steven Brundage fools Penn & Teller...
There are some weird cuts in this version, unlike in the show, which kinda ruins the magic a bit.

Two identical cards show up in high stakes poker game
Shoes are not used in poker, only blackjack. Obviously, there are hundreds of variations of poker, and one could pretty much make one up on the fly, so I'm sure it has happened, but in general, poker is always played with one, untampered, fresh deck of cards. I believe for high-stake games like this, they probably unwrap a new deck before each game. This is likely a production error, somehow 2 queens have snuck in in the factory somehow. Seeing as they were literally together in the deck, they probably were stuck and had not been shuffled apart yet.
Um, does no one understand that poker and blackjack are played with multiple decks in the shoe?
Tormund Giantsbane Demonstrates How to Shave Off A Beard
Hivju is part of the reason I started watching GoT(Because hes Norwegian, like me ) Well, that and the hype of course. But he has grown to become my favourite GoT character, independent of his nationality.(I think) And that is in a REALLY stiff competition.I mean, who doesnt agree with me? The guy is the perfect GOT character IMO.
Should gay people be allowed to marry?
"Why should any society capitulate for such an insignificant demographic group?
Gays make up less then 4% of population. "
We are talking about letting two people marry each other, in what way exactly is this capitulation?
The gun fondling nutters in the NRA make up about 1% of the population. Personally, I think their obsession with guns is rather perverse and more than a little creepy. Why cant we just take away their right to bear arms? They are just 1%! why should they have the same rights as other people?
Mormons are like less than 4% too, Take away their freedom of religion! No need to give them the same rights as catholics?
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Paid Family Leave
No, we have a debt of $23000 per person: http://www.nationaldebtclocks.org/debtclock/norway
So thats less than half of US debt. Thanks for playing.
Norway's national debt is $116B US dollars with a population of 5 million. That's $223,000 per person, man, woman and child. So that child that you got 10 months off for, is born owing $223,000.
Compare that to the US, which has a per person debt of $56,000.
So...way to go, Norway!!!
Sounds like a great plan!
and of course, it continues to rise (national debt)
What is it about socialism that requires that people pay for something they are not getting?
Why should you get paid for not doing work? Your country is like a child's art contest...everyone gets a ribbon.
