Lost Cop Shoots Puppy On Private Property In Oklahoma

9453 says...

Does anyone else see that the dog was not running straight at the cop but rather beside it? Many friendly/frisky dogs want to run around their target rather than jump on and bite. And that dog wouldn't have hurt that officer if it wanted to. Simple repellants that the police officer could have used:

* Shout at the dog; scares mny dogs off.
* Put a foot out; scares most dogs.
* Open the door. Deflects all dogs.
* Kick the dog; hurts and scares off most dogs.
* Dodge the dog. He already was doing this; allows more time to assess the threat of the dog.

But shooting the dog? What a judgement error.

Traffic Fail

9453 says...

It's been sped up about 2x. You can see from the pedestrians lower right at 0:45; look at their cadence. It's fun to ride a bicycle in traffic like that; it's easy to keep up with and totally frogger.

How the Cell Phone + Popcorn Trick Really Works

9453 says...

That's how I assumed it was done and said so, even when my friends believed it and even tried it (with 8 handphones). Microwaves can be dangerous to monkey around the insides of, but remember that microwaves are non-ionizing radiation. Even though the energy level is much higher than an X-ray, the fact that it is non-ionizing means you're not going to get cancer from exposure. Maybe burns.

Bear can't BELIEVE his food was stolen

9453 says...

I expect it's a trick the bear has been trained to do for the entertainment of zoo-goers. Maybe it's been trained to does this to get food from the trainer, as captive dolphins have to jump through hoops of fire and spit on the crowd in order to get fed.

The $$TRILLION$$ bailout explained

9453 says...

The author's seem to be insinuating that an increase in free market regulation and regulators seems to be the solution to the financial crisis and that lack of regulation caused the problem in the first place. What a load of bollocks. No mention whatsoever of loose monetary policy on the part of the government. Just another election film.
