As far as England being stoic about bombings; well that may have been true of the IRA campaign in the 1980's but it isn't any more. We have lost a tremendous amount of freedoms since the "War On Terror" began.

Premature conclusion for a study done with premature data.

Maybe she is right maybe she is not, the fact is there is no consensus yet as to the link of hurricanes to global warming.

There is a reason videos posted go to a queue or unsifted stage before they hit the front page, because not everything you like is worth watching. If you don't like the idea of voting then stick to youtube, a place where anything can be uploaded and because of this, 90% is crap.

He's wrong because words spell concepts, not just sounds. Etymology is at least as important to meaning as pronunciation.

also, this guy seems to be or have been the chairman of the American Literacy Council which is founded by the American Philological Association. Doesn't etymology use philology to a certain extent? So maybe this is not a serious claim don't you think?
