9/11: Mystery Plane (CNN)

>> ^tedbater:
I think if I ever actually met someone in person who tried to convince me that 9/11 was a conspiracy or that a secret 9/11 "mission control" plane flew in the skies that day...I'd have to punch them in the face...alot.

Your ignorance astounds me and I would explain, but it is beyond your reasoning ability. Besides your an idiot.

Presto - Pixar Short

Absolutely brilliant as always, I had to think long and hard before watching it, because it's kind of ruining the visit to the movies a bit for me... but then I figure I love watching their shorts and films over and over, so it probably wouldn't detract too much.

Sounds like a lot of stress and deliberation over a short video that wouldn't even be in the major motion picture of your choosing.

Invisibility is possible

>> ^xxovercastxx:
They kinda downplayed, or skimmed over, that whole being-invisible-means-being-blind thing. If all the light is bent around you, there's nothing for your eyes to see.

Ok Really? Do I have to take this one? Nobody else saw how stupid this comment was? MarineGunRock, no? Ok I got it.
Assuming you could wear a device that bends light around you it obviously would not bend ALL of the light beams....just the ones that are hitting your body (or where the device is). If you wore the device/cloth(whatever it is) just putting on your eyes would make you unable to see. Wait theres more....
another thing, you could use this for machinery, like tanks...and use technology like radar to see, therefore eliminating your "you would be blind" scenario.

Bush to Cancel 2008 Election - Frightening Concept: Possible

I think the majority of Americans are smarter than we give them credit for. Yea they're lazy and most of them didn't vote so they got stuck with a dumbfuck president, but when some obvious and deliberate frauds start occurring I'm confident that they people will stand up....and they all have guns and know how to use them.

Boarding a train that does not need to stop to pick you up

Boarding a train that does not need to stop to pick you up

M>> ^MarineGunrock:
Except that instead of complaining about having to wait for trains, people will complain about waiting for the loading car to show up. Then when it does, they'll complain about waiting for the train....still.
Someone please tell me how this solves any problems. - And for that matter, how it won't create new ones.

Thats easy, the energy it takes to stop and accelerate a train at each stop takes tremendous amounts of energy... therefore by using a simple deceleration rail on the top of each train the boarding cart merely uses the inertia of the already moving train to launch and dock boarding cart. Saves the train having to stop...therefore increasing the number of stops/stations you can have in a rail line without increasing the number of trains you would have to run. This would save HUGE amounts of energy, and therefore HUGE amounts of money, and is INCREDIBLY efficient.
Smart people do not usually complain about waiting for trains, they are usually on time. It's the people on the train already that have to constantly stop to pick other people up, making the journey ever longer depending on the amount of stops.
Your welcome for doing the thinking for you.

America - Netherlands Drug use Stats

10148 says...

Actually its well researched and documented that treating drug use as a criminal issue doesn't solve any drug problems. Only by treating it as a health issue can you really address the problem of addiction and real education about the harm of the drugs. People in the states don't discuss the repercussions of drug use because its taboo and illegal.
Clearly you've never been stoned, or you'd realize how stupid you just sounded. And the stoners in the Us had no problem... hell even the crack users and meth users managed to do it.
