interesting religious fact my brain decided to reel over today: mormons acknowledge the existence of a heavenly mother, but do not speak of her because she is too sacred. mormons are the only christian religion i know much about, do other christian denominations believe god has a female counterpart?

i have a feeling things about the heavenly mother are revealed when you go to the temple, but i have never been to the temple, and anyone that has been to the temple can not tell certain aspects of their experience.

but... an uber sacred female deity that plays no role in the books or creation stories, and who's mention is considered blasphemy. what a fascinating construct! or is it just me?
