anyone else get bugged by this?
Maybe I'm just being anal, but does anybody else get bugged when people post a video of a song and then don't have the artist or song title anywhere in the title? How many "Bizzaro animated theme songs" (http://asia.videosift.com/video/Bizarre-animated-theme-song-for-a-Japanese-TV-show) and "inexplicable japanese videos" (http://www.videosift.com/video/Humans-with-Rocketing-Anatomy-inexplicable-Japanese-video) do we need?
I edited the tags to include the artist in one of those, because there was absolutely no mention of the artist/song title anywhere in the post. I really think things like "bizzaro animated theme song" and such should go in the video description - not the title. At the least though, any time you're sifting a music video of some sort, you should post the artist and song title somewhere in either the title or description. I guess this isn't really a super-frequent occurrence, but it's sort of a pet peeve of mine (maybe I'm a little OCD about music lol).

I'm not too bothered, as long as videos are tagged and searchable. Well known bands have name recognition, while others need a helping hand to get noticed.
I think you can sympathize that "Yuki intro" isn't the most attention-grabbing headline.
Yeah, I understand that, but the cases I'm whining about are cases where the artist and song title aren't initially in the title, tags, or description. It makes things unsearchable, which causes dupes. I'm all for extra description in the title, like "interesting stopmotion video" or whatever, but the artist/song title ought to be on the initial post somewhere, I think. Like I said, most people do this already, but we can get the rest of people to make sure they do it.![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/wink.gif)
Ummm... JAPR, I think you're confused about my video there (the first one you linked). It's not a music video, it's a theme song for a TV show. And I put Honey and Clover (the name of the show) in the tags, but I didn't think "theme song for Honey and Clover" would be a very vote-getting title, since almost no one outside of Japan knows what Honey and Clover is.
I don't see anything in the posting guidelines about descriptive tagging, maybe a note there would be helpful.

Even with vigilant tagging there are still clusterfucks:

And in other cases there's just a lack of searching previous posts:

I don't want to hijack your thread, but it seems like the much called for *merge feature is needed. Maybe in version 3.2?
