You Tube allows access restrictions?
The story in this video thread shows what seems to be YT being able to allow video submitters (e.g. big corporate "partner" ones like Warner) to restrict access to the videos they provide based on regions (probably for comedy central style regional copyright)
As JAPR has posted the link to the original warner YT video, we can try to confirm if this is so. In which case, we may need to disallow some YT submitter videos, as they will cause "This video is unavailable." for some of us.
EDIT:
Can people for all around the world confirm if this YT URL works, and if not, what message they get, posting the message and their location in this thread.

No problem. I was originally embedding from this url:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWHkluThDXQ
but due to complaints of it not working, moved it to another one. I would be sad to see Youtube pulling schennanigans like that, but if they are it would likely be limited to just corporate channels, I would hope.
I get a pink bar containing the error "This video is unavailable."
The bar is very similar to the "This video has been removed for copyright by FOX"
And i'm UK.
Same thing as Thylan, I'm in South Korea.
The pink bar is normal, but you usually only see it with "This video has been removed by the user" or "This video has been removed due to terms of use violations." Looks like this may be an area restriction thing indeed.
I get "This video is unavailable." from Canada...
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
^ Same from Australia.
Changed the other video I had that was embedded from that Youtube account. (Green Day - Longview). Guess I'll just avoid record labels's official accounts in the future.
I am almost positive that YouTube has begun to do region filtering. I can't find any new stories that say so explicitly, but apparently they're giving special priveleges to 'content providers' (aka big media).

Here's another story that's topical but rather vague:

Funny enough, this thread is already topping the search results for 'youtube region filtering'.
STOP THE PRESS!
I have the results from Lithuania:
This video is unavailable.
START THE PRESS AGAIN!
same in Slovenia
Same in Finland!
How lame of them.
Same for me in New Zealand.
Works just fine in the US. USA! USA! USA!
Same in Uzbekistan.
LOL
No-go for Thailand. Surprise, surprise.
Well, this is looking fairly conclusive. what we decide to do about it, if anythign, is another matter.
