I just keep having these ideas for new collectives! I guess it is my bizarre need to organize everthing... anyway, I playing around on the site and finally realized what needs to be done with all the freakin' Daily Show videos! Someone needs to get a gold star and start a Satire Sift Collective that will finally harness their powers alone... for better or worse.

Don't get me wrong though, I do actually enjoy the Daily Show, and watch quite a few of the clips... but personally, I think they need to be in their own area, because when they are posted within a collective that contains clips of a much more serious nature, (as they did in TAYTV) they tend to kind of draw attention away from the real news or serious documentaries.... they kinda, well, bring the rent down a little, if you get my drift.

So, it's pretty obvious that such a collective would be a huge vote whore, so there's a good reason right there for someone to start this... my only suggestion to that person though is:

Daily Show clips are extremely easy to sift, pretty much these days you can just pull on up to the Comedy Central motherload everyday and find something... personally that's why I stopped sifting them sometime after I went silver, it's not a challenge... I think a lot of other people do this too, so a lot of the clips being posted are by newer members, who are typically not yet members of collectives. So, realizing this, I would suggest to the proud new owner of such a powerhouse collective: Be prepared to court new members for your collective, and be very diligent with it and you'll be rich as freakin' Croesus in the upvote dept.
