WTF, is it swearing?
So, I just wrote wtf somewhere in response to a facebook update by someone (reasonably so in my view) and got told not to swear!
How does the sift side on this. Is WTF:
1) An unacceptable swear term?
2) Just a swear term (acceptability be damned)
or
3) not even rating the distinction of the designation.
Vote away!

you should reply, "sorry for the snafu, I won't do it again"
say "sorry i was FUBAR'd when I wrote that". In my opinion censorship only gives these words the "vile" potency that they maintain. So in my view, if you say there's no such thing as a bad word, then there's no such thing as a bad word. (just watch out for those that don't share your "enlightened" view on language)
^wtf?
^STFU!
wtf's up with the not voting? vote!
there. voted. you should be more specific about which way to vote
Well, when I see "WTF" I don't read "what the fuck?"
I see it as a character group that means "Huh? What?"
But no, "WTF" by itself is not a swear.
Last I heard George Carlin's list of seven words, I didn't hear WTF on there.
i read it as "wutuf"
Meecrob!
FCC stands for Federal Communications Commission, and everybody knows that. So when you say FCC, people know what you're talking about. However, they can go fuck themselves with a big floppy dildo shaped like Alan Greenspan's syphilitic cock.
^WTF?
Fuck that shit.
yeah, ye, yes, o, hm ok, huh, what, WHAT!?, wtf, WFT, what the fuck, WHAT THE FUCK, ARHGHERDF#$%$@
I'd say wtf is quite an intense statement, so use it with great care.
