Virus ad banners
Just FYI, Google Chrome flagged Videosift with the red NOT SAFE WARNING.
I can confirm whatever was in the cuitab.com ad banner launches java which uses exploit to launch acrobat which has vulnerability to install lots of malware. I personally have java firewalled off from internet and uninstalled acrobat a long time ago as it seems most websites can infect you from the pdf exploit.
The website at videosift.com contains elements from the site cuitab.com, which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.

I'm pretty sure both Java and Adobe patched their vulnerabilities a few months ago. You need to patch if they are still being exploited.
I'm generally anti-microsoft, so I checked your shit. Turns out java never had a vulnerability. One of the fixes included turning off javascript. but anyway kudos for finding this shit. And I'm anti adobe slightly less than i'm antimicrosoft.
** edit i may have been wrong it looks like the virus was trying to infect using a jar file which is sun or w/e java.

The flaw, separately reported by researchers Tavis Ormandy and Ruben Santamarta, involves the Java Deployment Toolkit browser plug-in failing to properly validate parameters, according to a Secunia advisory. This can allow attackers to execute a JAR (Java Archive) file "on a network share in a privileged context."
