Top 15 faq?
Tried my best to find some sort of FAQ regarding the top 15, but no luck. Hence, I'm posting to SiftTalk.
Recently I posted a Whose Line clip (found here: http://www.videosift.com/video/Whose-Line-Party-Quirks)
and watched it rise as high as #6 on the list. However, 3 hours later, it's gone off the top 15. It had more votes tallied then the preceding 6-7 videos, so I don't think it was bumped due to votes.
Is there a time limit? How does the Top 15 work? Was it due to the fact that I modified the details on the submission? Not crying about it; just curious why it was climbing and then *poof*.

The top 15 sidebar displays videos with the most votes queued in the last 4 days. Yours disappeared from the list because that 4 day cutoff was reached.
We tried using the publish date instead, but it just keeps the listing terribly stale and it's very counterproductive for people (myself included) to see the same old videos in the list visit after visit, day after day. So what that translates to is, the better a newly queued video, the faster it will receive more votes, the longer it will exist in the top 15.
Btw, were you really banned at some point or is that just a fun nickname?
videosiftbannedmeThanks for the info! Yes, really banned as I had self-linked some YouTube videos before reading the FAQ. So had to come up with a new nick and wasn't being very original that day. Funny thing is I've gotten several PM's saying "Great nick!"
