Things I'd love to be able to do on Videosift
i) I'd like to only search for/see brief videos.
ii) ditto videos I don't need sound for.
Apologies if there are ways to do these that I haven't figured out but if there are could we make them more visible to newer users![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)
i) It'd be dead handy to be able to click on the brief tags and only see short vids. For when you're short on time but still want to waste it!
ii) On a similar note, I often waste time here when I'm in college and if I don't have headphones with me (and I never have headphones with me)... well you get the idea! Maybe a channel would be useful? like *nosoundneeded or something? Or maybe something like the brief/long tags? Not sure really but just putting it out there...
P.S. Not all my time here is spent wasting it!

I think nibiyabi has a playlist of videos that need no sound and I think you can make an advanced search for videos tagged brief. I do agree that brief could be its own channel, for easier access.

there you go.
i) I'm sure you can search for Brief videos using an advanced search. They're just labels not channels.
Personally I think some of the stuff in advanced search should be broken out and made easy to use. i.e a few more useful slicing and dicing options.
As for nosoundneeded I have no idea how many videos might fall into that category and they won't be easy to classify.

heh, lulz.
Clickity HERE for all the latest short vids.
HERE the search results for "intags: no sound"
and THIS is the search result for "intitle: no sound"
You can do all that neat stuff on the advanced search-o-tron.
Have a *quality and enjoy the rest of your day, Lampishone.

*mute would be a good invocaton for no sound clip, and I´d make it a category like brief, not a channel.
There is actually one more thing I´d like to see:
It would be sweet if the headlines of the sidebar content were clickable!
That way clicking on "Newest SiftTalk Posts" would bring you to Sift Talk, clicking on "Top rated Comments" to the recent comments page sorted by highest rating, Top 15 Sifters of All Time to the Member Rankings and so on.
I am no expert, but this seems easy to implement and I feel it would have a positive effect on usability.

Tell you what I'd love to be able to do- cross-reference multiple channels at once. For instance 80s and Music to be able to track down all those great 80s music videos. Or maybe British and Comedy to help find those Monty Python clips, or maybe Politics and Gay, so I can keep track of the Republican Party.
^you can do an advanced search and search in multiple selected channels.

To complement *nosound/mute, what about *novideo/visuals/blind (audiosifts with album art (slideshows)), I think these 2 belong to the same category as NSFW, blocked, brief, long..(and NSFE
