Today, the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Medicine released an 88-page booklet on evolution intended for a wide audience, available for free download in PDF format, and also online viewing.
Covered in the booklet is an overview and brief explanation of what evolution exactly is, a discussion of evolutionary biology's place in modern scientific research and advancement, and presentation of evidence for evolution. Part of the pamphlet also covers why creationism and its foul ilk are not scientifically reasonable or acceptable, and provides counters to typical creationist arguments. Also included is a FAQ for general questions about evolution and creationism.
