just thought I'd drop by to recommend this (I have not been around lately, so maybe somebody has already talked about this.. in that case, my apologies)

The Making of Star Wars (Enhanced Edition) [Kindle Edition with Audio/Video] by J.W Rinzler, on Amazon as a kindle book for $12.99. The best thing is that if you have an iPad or a new(ish?er?) Kindle, you can see lots of cool video clips. You can still get ithe book itself (with lots of pictures) on an Android tablet, but it won't have the 'Enhanced' material (videos, audio interviews)

I am a big SW fan (until the prequels came), and to me this book is totally fascinating. It tells how Star Wars came to be, all the crazy ideas of making Luke a girl, about Anikin Starkiller and what the first drafts of Chewbacca looked like.. I am not even half way through the book yet, but I am enjoying it a lot, and hoping to save the best parts for the Holidays!
