Streaming Sifts and the bullshit that ensues

I have something to say, this is videosift, not streamsift. Knock off that 24/7 stream of channels I can watch already on my bigger, better tv. Its ridiculous and a poor attempt at popularity. Furthermore, it defeats the purpose of having a site that sifts for em, when I have to sift through a sift to gain potential info. IT'S STUPID! GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

A channel created by the admins that contains only streams which can not be voted upon. What would be the problem? When you are through changing, you're through, eh?

Streamsift....Siftstreams??? Simply another widget mate, nothing to ruffle yer feathers over-

We already have one talk post about this and also a poll.
Do we really need another one or is this some lame attempt at popularity?
Personally, I posted the news streams because people are always interested in news here and I wanted to share.
I happen to watch those streams anyway, and when I saw the MST3K stream was allowed, I figured why not?
If you don't like the streams, don't watch them. Or downvote them. Pretty simple. Go vote "no" on the poll.

Here's a couple other things to consider. Not everyone lives in the US, so maybe some people outside of it might appreciate access to things they normally don't get to see. Same goes for people in the US being able to watch TV etc from other countries. And not for nothing, but a lot of people actually do have computers that output to their TV. I canceled cable TV about a year ago and I definitely appreciate the live streams on the net. Save over a hundred bucks a month and I don't miss a thing.

I was concerned about the streams here at first, then I realized I don't give a shit. Why shouldn't people enjoy them here if they want to? I don't care if they get voted on or not, though I don't see any reason why they shouldn't really. If we wind up with a stream channel it would be nice to sort them by popularity etc.

I just don't see what the big deal is with any of this.

Hopefully, if they are allowed to stay they will get their own channel, where you can "ignore" the whole channel.

I imagine it simply being a different tab in the top menu that contains all the streams in their own section. The legality of these streams may be a bit iffy though, but that's not really our place to judge.

I just didn't do my homework first and noticed the poll and talk posts about this after I posted. Admittedly it was in a blind rage, however I still feel that streams have no place on a site that prides itself on filtering out the crap from the masses of videos, as opposed to allowing an unending stream of different videos to flood the site. Forgive me for wanting to preserve the natural intended purpose of videosift*.

*statement made reflects the opinion of the poster and not of the creator of videosift, or any other users, who/m may have a completely different view on what the natural intended purpose of videosift is.

A lot of people feel the same way you do. I think it's great that you care enough to say something about it.
Go make your voice heard on the other talk post too so more people see it.
Don't forget to vote.

It's really as easy as not visiting the streams.

I don't complain about others peoples shitty videos...I just don't watch them.
