Ironic: it's "grammar"

Hahaha - Wow. Now I feel incredibly stupid. The really funny part is that I have a spell checker installed for Firefox, so all entry fields are checked automatically. Must have been all the 'c' and 'u' and 'no' that threw me off. Damn red squiggles.

I don't understand are you complaining other sites' users suck, or about grammar problems HERE?

One of the reasons I like the sift is because its userbase it's a log above standards. No dumb-troll-kidz.

While I did complain about other websites and their atrocious userbase, I brought this topic up because some members here, (particularly new ones) don't seem to get that proper spelling and grammar is what sifters have come to expect from other sifters.

A main example would be westy. Everyone here knows that he can't spell for jack, but like I said, it's usually just the new members that do it.

I think it's amazing what a nice place VideoSift has become to hang out -- it's a real tribute to its founders. I would say that it's up to all of us to kindly and gently bring new users up to speed on what makes VS tick. Though they'll figure it out for themselves soon enough.

Westy is a special case -- he's one of our unique characters who gives the site some extra flavour.

Actually, MarineG., westy is no way a new member. He was already here when I arrived. (too lazy to check the dates, but you can do that yourself)

I know he's not new. I just mentioned it because everyone knows him because of his (no offense, westy) atrocious spelling. Kinda like everyone knowing QM for being the most right-wing nut there is. Or ant's vicious downvotes.
