Pearls Before Breakfast - Beautiful music in subway station
The tagline for this news story is: "Can one of the nation's great musicians cut through the fog of a D.C. rush hour? Let's find out."
I haven't made a Sift Talk post on anything topical in the news before, but this story is different, I had to share it. It's a terrific piece, thoughtful and very sad. Plus, there are a bunch of videos included as part of the story. I highly recommend you check it out.

Yes, great article; I read the story in Washington Post Magazine on Sunday. I can't say I'm surprised that people were too busy rushing to their jobs to appreciate the fine performance. Admitedly, I never heard of Joshua Bell, but that story enticed me to find more perfomances of him.
I've been through the L'Enfant Plaza stop many times, (usually on my way to hockey games) I've ignored plenty of musicians!
Wow, sad to hear people are in such a rush to live meaningless lives though.
