If it was dead'd you can tell the poster what to link to and they can undead it.. But other than that it is a pain.

It's real hard to even edit discarded videos now since the storyid (ie. 43323) is replaced with Video-name-long-version...

The poster is exjedi. I haven't seen anything recent from him, and it would be a shame to lose this video

I think there's the unofficial replace (by using the contact form to email the Sift Lords) - but would be technically difficult to program a *replace SiftBot command; and may need checking by an Admin before swapping links (to avoid any malicious use).

Yeah, contacting the triumvirate is, still, a feasible/workable alternative.
