only way around the problem, as far as I know, is to resubmit with slightly different title to the original posting. then edit once you've posted.

LOL! I just resubmitted as michie recommended and it was accepted even though the saved one was up with a dupe URL. I discarded the second one. Thank you maudlin! I hope you didn't waste a "save"

Rather than burning saves, what michie said has worked for me too when this kind of thing has happened. Re-submit the same video embed, but slightly change the title and tags.

As siftbot is a stupid, literal creature, the variety of expression invariably tricks it and it then moves on to go look at cylon porn.
