DeanoTry Account Preferences, Profile. There's an upload button there. It can't be bigger than 100KB.
According to this http://videosift.com/starpower I don't see any reason why PMs should be a problem. Try another browser?
FantomasPMs work a little different on thre Sift, you have to go to a members profile page and scroll down past all the past comments where an input-box will allow you to leave a message.
There's a checkbox to make the message private if you wish to.
