Forum-like sift talk

Sift talk is getting a lot of posts.

Problem with this blog-like visualization is that old posts die, no matter if people try to continue replying.

I really think a forum-like visualization would be *MUCH* better.

Explanation for non-geeks
Blog-like shows threads ordered by last created, and shows the content of the first post directly in the main page.

Forum-like shows threads ordered by last post (so if you post in a thread, it's "upped" to top), shows in main page only title, author (+time) and last poster (+time).

I understand it's a big change, but I think it's necessary.

PS: a bug. If i click "Email me when someone leaves a comment on my post" nothing happens. I have to bookmark the thread to get notifications. And then I get two notifications. But if I unbookmark, none.

I don't know. An obvious reason for so many recent sifttalk posts is the transition to 3.0. Bug reports, channel changes, feature requests, publicity, etc.; it all adds up. I'd say give a it a week or two and see if doesn't return to normal.

I've been thinking about this as well, what I think would be very helpful would be some way to indicate which sift talk posts have new comments. Or a way to see the recent comment list, but only for sift talk posts. I think those type of features would help prevent comments from being lost without the need to go to a full forum-like sift talk which I think would be overkill.

That's why I heavily bookmark talk posts which interest me greatly.

Not to say I don't find this post interesting, but I'll pass on the bookmark b/c I've said all I have to say in this case.
