Fishy behavior at the sift

As of last night, most videos have no thumbnails and most comments never finish posting. I'm guessing something funny is going on in the middle somewhere, since other people seem to be posting without problems. At least I would have thought so, until a few moments ago when I tried to view https://art.videosift.com/talk/Is-there-anyone-who-is-a-wiz-at-Illustrator-or-Inkscape and received an invalid security certificate error (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain).

I don't know if any of this is within the sift's sphere of influence, but on the chance it is, I figured I'd report it.

A little attention paid and I noticed that somehow I was pushed from http to https while viewing. Changing back to http seems to have resolved my problems. The question now, I guess, is how I was redirected to https in the first place?

I believe this happens when you visit a secure site, such as checking your bank account, and fail to sign out OR close and reopen your browser before visiting the Sift.

I don't understand how that would happen but either way, I've done nothing of the sort today.

I posted about a similar problem a week or so ago. I'm too lazy to dig it up.
Have you recently upgraded to the new Firefox?

No, I've been running Fx3 betas/RCs for several months now.

Well now everybody with gold star and above has your banking information. Thanks a lot for those new items you bought me on ebay.
