Announcing the New VideoSift Embed Widget
We've just created a nifty VideoSift widget that allows you to embed videos on your external website or blog. It includes a vote button as well as a short comment listing along with the video. It's enabled now for most all pages when you click the embed link for a video. Here's an example:

when i try it (in blacksift) on a video the "Copy & Paste: Width: | Comments: | Thumbnail?: " text is the same color as the background
Very cool but that damned ukulele post shouldn't be the showcase.
Here:
edit: errrm doesn't work in comments?
Thanks for catching that @paul4dirt - all fixed.
@burdturgler: No, it doesn't work in comments. You cannot post <script> tags on VideoSift (except in blog and channel custom sidebar panels).
Shimabukarosift!
Is for Sift blogs only? Tried it at www.krupo.ca and had no luck, so I went with more YT link. Hmm?

Yes, it's definitely for external sites (and primarily so). I've made some tweaks after finding a small bug that might have been causing the issue.
Please try again and if it doesn't work, provide the script tag that you're trying with as well as a link to the page at krupo.ca on which you're using it.
Thanks for trying it out and helping us work out the kinks!
How do you get the regular / standard embed now?
For sites (like VS) that don't allow the script?
yeah and is there any sure-fire way to allow an embed by extracting the bullshit from it that will not allow it to be embedded on the VS?? Particularly archive.org-the way-back machine
Demonstrating the new commenting ability mentioned in the highlighted ^update:
it looks very very very good! (btw maybe the comments are a bit light)
i'm waiting for someone to start a meta-sift now.
