Adding Links to Video Summaries
Well, folks, it's been requested a bit and is now available. In addition to full URLs being automatically hyperlinked, you can now specify <a> tags in your video summaries. To be honest, it wasn't too trivial a task to add, but there's no doubt it's going to make the quality of video summaries much better for the author and viewer both.
Due to the trickiness in getting it working, you may experience slight kinks/quirks. If so please, inform us here and we'll try to get thinks cleared up straight away. Thanks, Sifters!

Mercy buck-cups, Lucky! I appreciate it.
I could've used that like two hours ago...
Thanks Lucky, great job as usual!
Thanks, friends. Glad to do anything I can to make this place more enjoyable.
There's a problem with displaying the "a href"-type links. Check out the description field of this video, then look at it in the queue. In the queue, the link doesn't display properly, but when viewing the individual page for the video, it does.
Great call, rembar. I was actually thinking about it all day after realizing the truncation of the video on summary pages would destroy links if the break occured in the middle of an tag. It now works so link tags are removed before trimming the summary.
Thanks for pointing that out.
I know this is a shockingly old thread to be commenting on, but I thought this question should maybe go here:
I was trying to put a link in a video summary, and, though it's been years since I festivaled around with HTML, I'm pretty sure I wrote the tag correctly, but when I previewed the video before submission, it displayed the tag rather than showing a hyperlink.
The tag I used was this: Videogum
Is that correct? I feel like I'm 14 again having to ask this... Be easy...
That's correct, RB. The submit form just displays the full HTML in the preview before you submit.
