I'll never understand the defensiveness, and need to deflect, of people who can't just accept the fact that there exist white privileged that they benefit from.

If the fact that white privileged is a thing and it makes you feel guilty. STOP DOING THAT. Just be aware of the reality. That's it.

There are so many peculiar parts of culture in the world that I will never understand.

While I don't think college players should be paid like pro athletes, I think all of their scholarships should include housing, meal plans, and some extra money (like what other students would get if they worked part time). They should also get to keep their scholarship if they get injured (up to 4 year bachelors), as long as they maintain some GPA.

And the coaches shouldn't make more money than provosts & chancellors of the same university. I'll never understand that. If schools have so much extra cash to burn to stay non-profit, LOWER THE PRICE OF TUITION.

I can never understand how something that looks so simple can be so hard. Every time I try to dance (when I'm alone, of course) I do my same limited, awkward motions that I always do.

Perhaps this is why I have such a low estimation of the average person...I'm not trying to impress anyone, so often look like I'm homeless, now I'm seeing that that could determine how people act around me.
I'll never understand you humans...maybe this is why newts don't wear clothes, they just cause trouble. ;-)

i like her, and her music, but i can never understand what she is saying.

I'm amazed by how many people apparently already watched the whole movie and declared it terrible or stupid. I mean, you wouldn't judge a two-hour movie based on a one-minute trailer, would you? Unless Uwe Boll or Michael Bay are involved, I tend to wait until a movie finished production and people are actually able to see the whole thing until I judge it as good or bad (and even then I acknowledge that there is something called 'opinion'). This might not be the best trailer, but I'll never understand people who judge a whole movie or TV show based on the first one-minute trailer or even a still picture from the set.

I must be the only one who found both of these people to be kind of annoying, in one corner we have Cynical Nerd and in the other we have Upbeat Nerd, what better pairing for a YouTube deathmatch.
I thought the lightsaber fights in both trilogies were fine, they were just following different models, I thought the acrobatics of the newer films was fun to watch. And why bother making everyone pretend that they're swinging around claymores when both the film makers and the audience know those energy blades probably weigh next to nothing?
I always kind of assumed the wooden acting (especially with the Jedi) came from Luca's directing, I imagine he was shooting for a kind of Zen sense of cool but didn't manage to find the right balance.
And I'll never understand why some people hate CG so much, it's a tool that can be used well or poorly, just like models and miniatures and fully built sets. But from the way some people talk about it you'd think life before CG was all some kind of golden age where everything was perfect.

Never understand why people take issue with shower urination.

I'll never understand why democrats do not show up to vote on midterms. The Republicans didn't win the midterms...Dems just didn't show up so R just won by forfeit

They'll show up to vote against Palin and McCain, and to vote against Romney/Ryan. But they're silent during midterms.

On the lighter side though, Nothing has really changed though, Obama can still veto anything the R puts out and they don't have enough control of congress to override the veto. If anything If Reps really are emboldened and think they have a mandate to go full retard..even moreso than usual. Then in the long term, this will benefit the liberals when the public ultimately rejects GOP ideas as they have increasingly done so.

I'll never understand why people don't kick them. They have giant fucking weapons protected by shoes. Kick the fucking things until they learn not to fuck with you!

Cops have to be one step more violent than the people they must take into custody. That's a simple fact. That is the use of force continuum. You can probably google it.

But people who have no knowledge of it or think a cop can 'shoot the guy in the hand' will never understand it.

I never understand why people are so surprised to see these things flip over. It's such a frequent occurrence you'd almost think they were designed to do that.
