A little about me...
I joined VideoSift as IT Director / Software Architect / Systems Administrator in mid-2006. It has been my online home away from home ever since.

In 2006 I coined the acronym LMFAHS. You should tag all your funny videos with it. LMFAHS in meatspace.

In 2008 I coined the term Escalopter to describe a person rotating like a helicopter blade on escalator handrails. |

Just a heads up….something screwy is going on with comments for me. On the recent comment page, 75% or more recent comments are just not there, and comment history now only goes back 1 page.

Edit: seems to be fixed now. Thanks!

Then here’s a bit more feedback….I’m still at 4-5 a week….still loving it. Thanks!

Hey, thanks a lot for reaching out!

It's just hearing this kind of rare feedback that keeps me motivated to keep at it.

Just saw your conversation with Newt about Phrasle. Just to say, I still play about 4-5 days a week too, and love the reward of learning about the phrase. Of course, it's up to you to say if the effort is worth it, but it's definitely appreciated.

Thanks lucky. That was really strange. Ever had that happen before? Thanks for "putting the fire out" anyway.

Really, really sorry for the headache.

I was at least finally able to get into the code and find where the birthday email is sent and just shut it down completely.

Hopefully that will at least cease the barrage of attacks you've been suffering.

I read and appreciate them, I always like to learn more, but would gladly see them go if it means keeping the game alive.

Thanks - worst-case I will just fill it with phrases but provide no extra info (which shows up once you've finished the puzzle), like background info, explanation, link, image, video.

Those are the bits that take the longest. Each phrase can become like a tiny research project. And I don't even know if it's worthwhile. No clue if people read those let alone appreciate them. 😀

I wondered how you automated choosing phrases….I guess you didn’t, that’s how! I suppose another thanks is in order then, one for creating it, another for keeping it going! Double thanks!
Yeah, I probably play 5 a week on average. The short ones get hard!

I hope you can figure out a way to automate it completely, or at least to the point where you just need to authorize it’s choices once a week. I would hate you to burn out and for it to die.

You're still playing it?!

Awesome my friend. Thanks so much for the feedback!

It's become a bit of a burden because I still manually create every puzzle, so every night near midnight I start frantically trying to get the next puzzle ready.

Congratulations! Your comment on North Koreans weeping hysterically over death of Kim Jong-il has just received enough votes from the community to earn you 1 Power Point. Thank you for your quality contribution to VideoSift.

No worries, just reporting the bug.

Oh man, that's a bummer.

Thanks for letting me know. Not sure if I'll have time to try digging into that, especially because I don't have any iOS devices.
