So... Killer Croc Huh?
Oh that's right, wrong universe....

No, silly. This is Spider-Man, it's Doc Croc, duh! nods

That's almost of right actually. The Lizard is a doctor, and another mentor of Peter Parker before he goes all freaky and evil. If you saw spider-man 2 or 3 he was the college professor. It's a shame, they had an actor who seemed perfect for the role in the last series, and he never got to do anything.

Bungee cord snaps, woman falls 350 feet (and lives)

Ouch, only the real fall wasn't 350 feet, since the Rope snapped on the way back up, but still ouch...and crocodiles..yikes..

Yah I read about this lol its one of those things that media hyps till the point its 100% bullshit
as you say she probably fell less than 20m easily survivable even if you belly flopped it , as for the crocodiles the water was fast flowing and she was in the middle so it sunlikely they would have gotten her.
the only really remarkable thing about this is that the bunjee rope broke in the first place and that she was lucky she didn't drown / the water was deep enough to brake her fall.

Idk, it looks to me that the cord snaps pretty much as soon as it takes up tension. No doubt it would have slowed her down a bit but I can't imagine by much considering that it was only holding her weight for a fraction of a second.

As for the Crocs, well yes, I agree. The more significant risk was drowning, especially if she had been knocked unconcious from the impact. I'd say it was a pretty close call that didn't really need hyping up.

Crazy, awesome nature compilation.

Pretty sure the guy that was thrown around by the elephant was pretty dead..

Scariest for me, was the guy that lost an arm to the croc. Yuck. When it starts spinning, my arm starts to hurt.

OMFG this Crocodile is HUGE

Jinx says...

Same logic: What are we then?

I was gonna say that Crocs haven't really changed much since the Cretaceous, but that would actually be a little bit of a lie. They are quite complex really, its just that their outward appearence is much the same, well, because water hasn't changed much. They adapted to be an amphibious ambush predator, the design worked 80ish million years ago, it still works.

Nice waves, pity about the crocs

>> ^spoco2:

On top of this insane demonstration of power and speed that the floods have shown today, this flood has been going since the new year, and has flooded an area larger than France and Germany.
Oh, and Queensland has a lot of our really deadly snakes, and so they are sort of... In the water. hundreds of them.
So, yeah, Snakes in the Motherf cking Floods man!

Excuse me, There is a Buffalo in my Pool!

The stage is set for "Battle at Kruger creek: pool version", the one where everyone assumes the young bison runs away and actually survives from the bite marks of the inflatable croc.

Hippos Sucking Croc

gwiz665 says...

I suspect it something similar to the symbiotic relationship between crocs and certain small birds that crawl into their mouths and clean their teeth. The hippos get their sodium or teeth cleaned or something, and the crocs don't get fucked up... seems like a fair trade off.

doesn't it look like the hippos are attracted to the scaly back as if it was some sort of plant?

I thought they maybe use it for cleaning their teeth/ gums.
