At about 17 seconds you can see the elephant lifting the croc out of the water, presumably with his tusk. I'm guessing that smarted, but you're right, it isn't entirely clear.

We should probably do something about the elephant in the living room because he is shitting on the furniture.
I'm not judging the elephant, but I am saying that we should start trying to find a more sensible arrangement.

As for talking about the elephant being hypocritical because we've also got a hippo in the bathtub.. well, there's a donkey on the roof, a croc in the kitchen, a pangolin in the vestibule, and there's a goat in my bed. You know what? You're right; maybe we shouldn't mention the elephant.

Not a huge issue with freshwater crocs, they can give you a nasty bite but really aren't a threat to humans.

Saw on a nature show that crocks are among the stupidest animals, and really easy to dominate on land. You just tap them the top of the end of their snout. This tells them you're bigger than them and they back off. It's easiest done with a stick. This guy could have used his knuckles.>> ^Velocity5:

So maybe less risky than it looks.

If I was that croc, I'd be thinking "hmm, I can either have that pound of chicken or 200 pounds of tasty human"

I highly doubt it was drowning either. I think a more plausible explanation would be that the jaguar pierced the top of the croc's skull with its teeth.

Perhaps if it was caught off guard before it could breathe in and prepare for a dive it might drown? Or perhaps the jaguar footage was really over a couple of hours long and it just stood there holding the crocodile underwater that whole time and the editor just didn't want to make us watch that length of film... There's a video out there of a jaguar drowning a crocodile. Just grabs it and pins it under the water. Big cats are not to be fucked with.

A hippo would just have walked up to the croc and started biting on it, no need to warn..
