I love Graham Norton's talk show. He just does it right.

Fuck this expectation of public figures to dutifully out themselves so that fast-selling feel-good stories about courageous-brave famous people can be written. When they chose to talk it's commendable, when you hound them its kinda despicable EYE-EM-OH.

The over rule of the will of DC voters sort of shows the need for DC statehood, or at least a step above what DC is now.

Lindsey Graham's statement is just vile. The whole way Congress sneaks provisions into unrelated bills needs to stop. Each piece of legislation needs to stand on its own. Sadly that would likely take a Constitutional Amendment and Congress isn't going to do that as then most of their secret provisions would never pass.

One of the reasons I enjoy this show is because of the regular, shoot-the-shit kind of talk between celebs. Same with The Daily Show.

Most of us are used to canned 7 minute 'pre-approved' questions interjected with a not-that-funny story and a 30 second clip that is modern american late night talk shows. I mean the reason John Stewart has won so many concurrent Emmies is because he actually interviews like a real person and not a robot, he gets the meat of the topic, the interesting stuff. It's just so much less 'scripted'. Sure Graham Norton has the 'not-so-funny stories and the one liners but his show often involves a more casual dynamic between the guests. It's something I'd much like to see on US late night.

Last night I was at the grocery store and thought to glance at the cracker aisle; Honey Maid graham crackers were almost gone (and the rest of the shelf was fully stocked), so I guess this is working out for them.
