JIM BAKKER'S BUCKETS

RFlagg says...

While the editing does set things off, sadly, Bakker, Pat "what's this mac and cheese, is that a black person thing" Robertson, Jack Graham, and all their ilk are far from Poe's Law, and well into they truly believe this stuff. And so do the people who watch it, and remember they are FAR more reliable voters than any other group, and their numbers are legion. There's a reason why near 46% of American's believe the Earth to be 6,000 years old in accordance with the Bible, and among the white evangelicals that this ilk appeal to, it's 60%.

Now Mark Biltz (the guy who said he knew what day Adam opened his eyes in the Garden of Eden) is generally rejected even in most evangelical circles, so not sure why Bakker is giving him space to spread his message... though if it scares enough people into buying buckets....

What's scary is that Bakker still has a huge audience that trusts his teachings, even though we were just hours or days from a collapse whereby you wouldn't be able to buy food for six to twelve months way back in 2015... The things Bakker and Robertson have said to defend Trump and blast Obama over the years...

jokes and metaphors in MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL

noims says...

This is Monty Python we're talking about. The fans overthink everything. We put the 'anal' into over-analysis.

Case in point, here are a few things that may or may not be relevant that he missed:
1) We see Bedevere tying coconuts to birds' legs to distribute them, as per the first castle scene.

2) When God talks to Arthur, both are played by Graham Chapman. Does this mean God is only in his/your own mind? The other knights react to what they see, but don't talk to him or reference anything he says.

3) You can see that when the black knight is down just just the one leg, he's actually played by a one-legged local instead of by Cleese.

There's lots of this rubbish, and we love it. I only just made up number two (although it is true).

As a bonus, here's a relevant XKCD:

The only time I watch this show is when it's sifted and I'm rarely disappointed which surprises me because I normally can't stand celebrity interviews. Well done Graham Norton!

Axe heads and shields - should they be pointy or rounded?

I love this guy. Not only is he very convincing, but the way he does everything in a single shot means he comes across like a cross between Kenny Everett and Graham Chapman. But alive, obviously.

Laughter is good for the soul.

Harlequinn, it's The Graham Norton Show, and a silly story Charlie Sheen told. I was surprised that Charlie Sheen is even being booked, because is he even relevant anymore? Then he tells this story. Perhaps to be more relevant.

No one said, "See, Trump is awful, and Charlie Sheen thinks so, it must be true!"

Why be negative and mean? Sinking to a new low...come on, really?
Why haven't you posted more than one video? Honestly curious, not being spiteful, but you must have your reasons.
