...to our community and to Fedquip for starting this whole mess. I had noticed the vsocial post, and the link to his blog, the night before. I wondered if it would cause a shitstorm if I called him out on the self linking because of the way his collective came into being, but then I called out the Indonesia post anyway. Then I googled 'taytv' and saw that fedquip had indeed gotten a blogging job with AOL Video and was known has a Wizard of Buzz...I double checked to see if Fedquip had mentioned this, had given us full disclosure and transparency. None. And then several other posters found that he had used at least two other hosts to self-link. I felt like we'd been used, big time, and I got my feathers ruffled. I should have handled it better, should have taken my concerns that we were becoming a pawn of AOL privately. I should have fussed at Choggie for being such a prick...but I let it roll. So I apologize and hope that Fedquip, Brian and James can understand a little of my reasoning here, why a site like this won't work without full disclosure. I also hope that Fedguip and his collective will continue to be a part of the Sift...with lessons learned. Marianne
