I know that this idea is way out there, but I thought I'd be worth sharing with you.

One of the few downsides of this community is the difficulty for new members to establish themselves or even get started. It's quite hard to find a good video that'll stand out and since probies only have one unsifted slot it can take a long time to get rid of that .

So the idea is that higher ranked members (e.g. diamonds and crowns) can adopt a certain number of probies. Adopting probies means answering their questions regarding VideoSift and maybe even throwing them a siftable video or two. Eventually your Probies will mature and may sift alot of their own videos. The foster sifter will benefit from that by getting 1 Power Point/Star Point for every X videos the adoptee sifts.

The foster sifter will have to let go eventually and send the probie into the harsh sift world (by the time the probie has x star points), but it could still be noted in their profile that they were once adopted by x.

This idea is probably way ahead of its time (nice way of saying that it's crazy), but I feel that probies should get a jump start in some way. Maybe we could highlight their posts or something. I already take extra notice of probie posts.
