I love the documentary style view of just a day in the life of the dinosaurs.

During the pandemic I've taken my family to a few drive-thru events, one of them being a thing where they have dinosaurs built to scale. The thing the struck my wife and me is how small they actually were.

Don't get me wrong; they were big, but just not as big as they probably are in your imagination.

The only one that was like holy cow was a flying dinosaur whose height was like 30 feet. That was this guy, named Quetzalcoatlus:

Remember Kirk Hartle? He’s the Republican Nevada man whose dead wife’s ballot was used to vote last year. The poster boy for voter fraud, claiming his wife’s ballot had been stolen (twice) and used to vote in Nevada elections, twice. If he were a Democrat doing the same thing, rigging elections and accusing Republicans of being the culprits in a national disinformation campaign, would you accept such a weak slap on the wrist? Basically selling extra votes for $1000 a piece?

You always have to omit the important bits….and skew the rest. “ kid falls , His gun faces the guy” not “kid flees a crime scene, falls, and AIMS and shoots his rifle at multiple people, hitting two more and killing one of them”.

Kid chases, threatens, and murders man. Kid flees the scene of his crime, pointing his gun at anyone he sees. Kid falls. Man approaches. Kid’s gun faces dozens of people as he’s aiming at anyone near him. Kid shoots randomly at multiple people including some running away from him. Kid takes aim at the closest one, gun misfires, kid inspects and reracks gun while continuing to aim at the man who is reaching to detain him not trying to hit him or shoot him, and shoots him at point blank range even though no gun is EVER aimed at him….at one instant the victim’s gun is held in such a way that it’s within 45 degrees of being pointed in the direction of the thug/armed child whose gun is constantly aimed at him, but the victim’s gun is never aimed nor pointed AT him.

You just can’t be honest…. your fault because your hyper biased and totally dishonest (to the point they’ve all successfully argued in court that no reasonable person could believe their obviously made up hyperbole, but you still do) “sources” never tell you the truth and you continue to act as if only they tell the truth.

Federal prosecutors won’t file charges citing insufficient evidence that the officer willfully violated federal civil rights statutes (because the police stonewalled and didn’t give them evidence), NOT because shooting a man 7 times in the back because he had a knife but police approached within arms length anyway, intentionally putting themselves in harms way to create a position where they could claim they were in danger is a good shoot, but because they couldn’t prove it was a civil rights case with the police hiding their evidence and stonewalling federal investigators.

Side note, 5 years after an unarmed man was shot 76 times (shot at over 100 times) by police, two officers have finally been indicted for his murder. (Turns out two of those shots came from directly above his dead body….mafia execution style)
The previous DA claimed the local police were working with federal marshals, whose policy is to not allow body cameras, and they always follow that rule, so there was no body cam footage, and under Trump the US marshals refused to cooperate, so he had no evidence with which to prosecute. That changed.

Felony murder, aggravated assault, burglary, making false statements, and violation of oath by a police officer. I hope they both get the death penalty and get no protection in prison. Maybe they can get raped to death….still too good for their ilk.

'Paradise Lost': How The Apple Became The Forbidden Fruit

This month marks 350 years since John Milton sold his publisher the copyright of Paradise Lost for the sum of five pounds.

His great work dramatizes the oldest story in the Bible, whose principal characters we know only too well: God, Adam, Eve, Satan in the form of a talking snake — and an apple.

Except, of course, that Genesis never names the apple but simply refers to "the fruit." To quote from the King James Bible:

I know a fair number of smart people who have bad skills in epistemology, who have very odd anti-tax beliefs.

But whose IQ in their area of expertise is high. Some, not too oddly, are frankly on the spectrum.

Others have been quite successful and intelligent in a narrow area and then--sort of ail outside it. A bit, I suppose, like a lot of us. Only on this matter, it matters.

Richard Hopkins’s claim that a postmaster in Erie, Pa., instructed postal workers to backdate ballots mailed after Election Day was cited by Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) in a letter to the Justice Department calling for a federal investigation. Attorney General William P. Barr subsequently authorized federal prosecutors to open probes into credible allegations of voting irregularities and fraud, a reversal of long-standing Justice Department policy.

But on Monday, Hopkins, 32, told investigators from the U.S. Postal Service’s Office of Inspector General that the allegations were not true, and he signed an affidavit recanting his claims, according to officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe an ongoing investigation. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee tweeted late Tuesday that the “whistleblower completely RECANTED.”

Hopkins did not respond to messages seeking comment.

This liar was cited in numerous Trump lawsuits as the best most direct evidence of fraud....they've got nothing.

Edit: and more "evidence" turns out to be fake....a video claiming to show poll workers stuffing a ballot box turned out to be in Russia. At what point can we bar the Republicans and Trump from filing more lawsuits? After 20 frivolous lawsuits using fake evidence? We are past that point. Thats as much ‘evidence’ as you’ve given for convicting Brett Stevens of white supremacy, and then to convict anyone associated with him there after.

I say we dont get so extreme as you and deny all those people and anyone associated a right to speak their piece on that basis alone. I say the stupid and wrong things being said need to be allowed to be spoken, and confront them with corrections and revelation rather than force and violence to quiet them.
