Mixed Martial Arts fighter loses by KO -- done by himself
>> ^Ryjkyj:
That wouldn't work in a real street fight.
It didn't work here, either.

Looks like kickboxing to me and not MMA. They are wearing boxing gloves and not MMA gloves.
Sport of the future.

I can't figure out what that guy was thinking, trying to jump out and kick like that without preparing for the landing.. maybe he thought he was going to hover in the air after his mighty kick.
He may have been expecting to connect, and thus get a better landing (lol?)

Oopsy. I'm not a fan of either, clearly.
I just thought this was funny.
I'm going to leave it as is, so that my ignorance can be part of the fun.
Fail fail!

"Uncle Remus" by Frank Zappa. Performed by Absolute Ensemble
Maybe it's just the video mix but they need to dial back a bit on the lead violin. Otherwise, thumbs up.
I DO PARKOUR!
Hell hit 1, 2, 3, or 7 while playing the video. Mix em up. 7 is especially good.
2010 SuperCut
G-Whiz Productions ganged up 270 films released in 2010 into a six minute video mix.
"My film selection process was fairly open; anything that was either produced or distributed in 2010 was fair game. This by no means constitutes a comprehensive list of films that came out in 2010.”
2010 was not a great year for Hollywood mainstream movies. So what is else is new? However, this seamlessly edited and kinetic video mix makes 2010’s cinematic output look tremendously exciting..

nazi reference: the music
us military reference: the majority of the video

erm... Exactly where is the comparison between Nazi aggression and US aggression? I did see some US flags in there, but i don't think they were used in a specific anti-american way but just because the by far biggest part of military footage (fiction or reality) shows US military and the creators of this video had to take their clips from somewhere. But where was the Nazi reference?
Maybe Mink mixed up the german word for german ("deutsch") with dutch (our northern neighbors)?
What i do like best is the fact that this video mixes two types of "propagandas", scenes that are taken from ads (i guess) and scenes that are taken from anti-war movies. I think it's pretty strong, also because of the great music choice and the very slow change of mood / setting from heroic to horrible.

the nazi reference in this video was the choice of the music, infact. its an old german song, but the nazis used it frequently in their propaganda radio broadcasts and such; it was almost their "theme song".
but i agree with you, the add is anti-war, not anti american.

Dutch Antiwar Propaganda Clip

Yaaay, finally some cool scifi thing becomes real
How stupid. This is not a hologram in the sense that they are presenting. The captured image is a hologram but they are faking the projection.
It's live compositing with remote camera matching. In reality Wolf is staring at an empty space. They could have made the "hologram" look more like the person was actually in the room but they stylized it to make it look as if it's projected into thin air.
All you need are a couple matched motion control camera setups synchronized between the two locations, a green screen at the remote location, and some video mixing software.
I'm impressed by the capture technology, but totally sickened by the attempt to misrepresent its potential as some type of thin-air, true 3D projected hologram.

What's Up With The Queue? (Sift Talk Post)
I've also noticed recently that sometimes the queue doesn't sort properly. I've set my account to view unsifted videos by newest queue date, and yet I'll see some older videos mixed in with the newer ones. Even more frustrating: Sometimes I'll also notice some videos don't show up at all in the unsifted section (or if they're there then they're WAY out of order), even though I'll see them in the Hot section.
I think we have a bug on our hands.
____________
I must "confess" that sometimes I vote for a video without viewing it. This only happens when I've seen the material before, like a music video or a clip from a film or TV show. If the thumbnail looks like it fits the title or description I'll sometimes upvote without viewing it again.
There, I said it, and I feel better for doing so. I can now die with a clean conscience.
The first 5 minutes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
I'm not sure what game footage is mixed in there, but I feel somehow cheated. I think a clip of this without someones choppy fraps video mixed in would be impressive enough.
Channel Request (Obscure Talk Post)
Dag's got a good point on that front, as much as I like farhad's idea. Would letting a PQ'd video "mix in" with all "full published" vids on the obscure.videosift.com pages fix that?
