I'm from Texas. I support Abortion. No contraceptive is 100% effective, not even if you combine them. If you don't understand that, study how percentages work.

Secondly, kids are hormonally driven creatures. They are literally under the influence of natural chemicals driving them to procreate.

Not every school or parent teaches them about contraceptives. In fact, you will find most 'Christians" only support abstinence. This is the equivalent of telling a chemically dependent addict to "Just Say No!" How well did that work in the drug war back in the day? (Hint: However, despite DARE's bold claims, research has shown that the program has failed spectacularly.)

Third, the people who are most affected by this new law are the people that can least afford the better contraceptives or having a child in a non-stable family environment. This won't bother a middle class or rich family at all, they can just send the kid off to an "aunt" in another state until the issue is resolved. Those kids from poor families will just be forced to have the kid and likely it will ruin their lives. This doesn't even take into account that the new law doesn't have ANY exceptions for rape or incest.

Fourth, the USA was founded on religious freedom. In other words, you get to believe what you want and others get to do the same. This means that if a religious person tells another person that something they are doing is forbidden due to morality contained in their religion, that other person can tell you to fuck right off. Church and State are supposed to be separate, but the Christian right think they should be able to legislate their religious ideas on others. Do you not see the hypocrisy here?

You have to take into account of the population difference (AUS ~25.6 mil vs USA. ~328.5mil), standard of living, GDP, taxation, etc. etc. to make a fair comparison. Going by a straight currency exchange & population diff. of 1 AUD = ~ .73 USD, a very generalized equivalent would be about asking a 3.7~3.8 trillion war chest budget for the USA.

See how governments all over brand criticism of the governments (India, China, Brazil, Turkey, etc. to name a few) as "fake news." Suppression of journalism and protests everywhere. A very large part of this phenomenon is exacerbated, if not originated from the GOP and Trump in particular through years and years of dismantling of the USA's democracy institution and legitimacy. lived and drove in Qatar for a few years - there were many 3-lane in and 3-lane-out roundabouts. (also drove in UAE where it was the same). You are supposed to yield to those cars already in the roundabout. Several of the roundabouts also had red-lights (aka "signals", aka "robots"). Left lane is for going left (3rd exit on a 4-way roundabout). Middle lane was for going straight (2nd exit). Right lane was for going right (1st exit). Usually works fine once you're used to it. You aren't supposed to change lanes inside the roundabout, and use your right turn signal when you are exiting (and crossing lanes to exit). If you are maintaining speed and people are yielding and exiting as they should, no collisions.
Trickier roundabouts are those with more than 4 exits, or with additional "slip roads".
On the straight roads, there's no notion of fast-lane or passing lane. But if there's a Land Cruiser tailgating you and flashing their high-beams, change lanes. It's not personal, or road rage, the locals just like to drive fast (and often in any lane in the roundabouts)
Another difference between driving in USA is that green means go, in any direction... whereas in US, left turn is yield on green, unless there's a green arrow.
