Mitch McConnell Freezes During Press Conference
Yeah, too disturbed to consider turning Mitch on so he can get an election…but I am reminded of my shirt…
“If I’m ever on life support unplug me….
Then plug me back in and see if that works”
Have they tried turning him off and on again?
... or does the idea of turning Mitch McConnell on just disturb everyone waaaaay too much?
For what it's worth, the problem with age limits is that they can be used against perfectly competent and fully functioning people. There's supposed to be a process to remove the incompetent, but that's called elections, and it seems to be more broken than Mitch McConnell.
(If my second comment didn't put you off, feel free to make your own joke about Mitch getting an election here)

" voted to strip funding from libraries out of pure spite.._
Please talk to you therapist and stay on you meds.
As a friend you are living in the deep end.
Best if you just turn off the news and live life. Just enjoy being unplugged.
Today’s MAGA weaponization of government, today Missouri republicans voted to strip funding from libraries out of pure spite because they dared to oppose the book banning of any non extremist Christian based books, but Christian books in support of rape, sex with children, murder, infanticide are protected…but reading is for liberals anyway so it’s no surprise they cut all funding.
Voting yes to ban books on religious grounds is republican Mike Moon who also voted to allow marriage and sex with 12 year old girls if their parents force or sell them into it.

Assuming they are not malfunctionng, hacked, etc.
That's why I cover up cams, unplug, power off, etc.
Yes, but at least in theory, they are only listening when activated.
Unblocking a blocked sewer connection at a manhole
I would feel so satisfied unplugging that pipe. Immense satisfaction just watching it.

Dangers of Using Electronics in Bathroom
Can confirm. A cm or so of insulation on live and neutral pins on plugs here in Ireland (and UK) have definitely saved me and probably my toddler from shocks / death / learning experiences.
I can tell you it was a little alarming seeing how he unplugs stuff. It's hard not to give into the temptation of a few hundred volts of rigged 'I told you so', but no one wants him living like Medhi here.

If that man ever needs help getting unplugged from anything, I'm sure the queue would stretch across the country... no matter what country he's in.

Ahhh, OK. I thought they acted like a link and would just take you directly to a website.
Perhaps things have changed. I've been computing for decades, and it at least USED to be the case that you could be infected simply by opening a malicious web page. Since I have banked and shopped on my PC, I'm overly cautious to not get infected, and don't just assume that old security holes are plugged. That means not going to links I don't recognize, not installing software I don't need or know exactly what I'm installing and where it comes from, and never opening emails from people I don't know.
Even with all that paranoia, I've had attacks that froze my computer and demanded money to unfreeze it, and that somehow remained in effect after restarts, like it somehow installed itself into my startup file. I did not install anything those times, simply opened a web page that was (apparently) infected and was attacked. For many people, these attacks work and their computers are bricked and they are blackmailed. Had I not known how to clear my temporary files, including hidden files, and clean out my startup folder, I would have a dead PC. One instance required me to completely wipe and re-install windows to remove the infection, as it wouldn't boot up at all.
That's why I also backup all my files on a memory stick that remains unplugged.
Being paranoid, I may go a bit farther than I need to, but better safe than sorry. I can't afford to have my identity stolen or my PC bricked.

Sounds like the vacuum advance is unplugged.
Someone stole naked pictures of me. This is what I did about
Touchy subject. Can't really say or comment about the issue. But given that most incidents have a reactive counter-measures, there is also a pro-active method to ensuring that such sensitive photos aren't somehow leaked.
People take for granted the ability to store the photos that they've taken in the cloud. This is convenience that a lot of people like, myself included. However, by storing a digital photo onto the cloud, two things happen: the photo is there "forever" and the photo can be stolen, nearly irregardless of security.
As far as security, the first and only line of defense is the password. Unfortunately we live in a day and age where password won't work no matter what you use -- complex, generated, correcthorsebattery (or whatever it was), and what else there is. Given time, the password will be cracked and the account compromised. We, as human beings, prefer convenience and are willing to give up security in order to make it easier for us to remember the billions of accounts that we have laying around -- Twitter, Google, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat. Having that one-password-fits-all kind of system, the line of defense is very thin and can break easily.
The pro-active method for intimate photos is to simply not store them onto the cloud. Instead, back them up into cold storage. Put it onto a backup drive and unplug it when it's not in use. It'll be inconvenient for many. But in most cases, it'll make it very difficult for anyone to steal those photos that some treasure so much. Once the photos are backed up, delete them off the device.
So yeah, most people would say to not take the photo in the first place. Unfortunately for me, I'm one who would say that too. Dammit...
It's unfortunate for anyone whose intimate photos are stolen. I know these victims must remain vigilant and strong to fend off the morons who make stupid comments about it. But the mind can only take so much verbal abuse. The sad thing about it all is that it doesn't matter whose at fault or who is to blame. Everyone loses.
