100kmh != 100mph, but its still ~60. I wish his camera had focused so I could get a better look at that tractor/thing. It looked like some sort of ridiculous mod.

Friends of mine have a purebred Border Collie (Charlie) and a Husky/Shepard mix (Ava). Charlie runs like the wind, barely making a whisper. Total stealth mode. Ava is faster, but she doesn't run so much as grab onto the ground and pull the planet around under her. It's really interesting to see the different styles. Charlie is a figure skater, Ava is a tractor pull.

I think the one I've driven was a D2 Not quite as impressive, but a quite good tractor.

I think they said the D11 was 104 tonnes, and I thought the 30 tonne D8 was pretty big.

#1 not fake.. both were going in the same direction at the same speed, it is just the truck made a great recovery and the game isn't to picky about the location of both vehicles to latch the trailer back on.

#2 does not need a lot of retakes.. the guy was simply pulling stunt jumps with a tractor trailer and this happened. You only need to do it once and capturing the stunts in game is super easy (it was designed to always be recording game data on a loop, so anything happens you just hit a key to close and save the loop).

It's fake? I thought it was just a glitch with the physics and although the tractor and trailer were being rendered separately, the game still thought they were attached and guided the trailer to the tractor when it landed.

Those things are well over 100lbs. They're designed heavy, then water is added on installation.

I've heard stories about the high gearing of military vehicles before After the end of WWII there were a lot of army surplus tanks around, and some farmers bought them to use as tractors... unfortunately, as I heard it, they didn't work that well.

Firstly they were geared far too high, those tanks had gear ratios like cars, but normally a tractor will have first gear around walking pace or less in some cases, like a Deutz-Fahr my Dad used to have that would really creep along slowly.

Second problem is that they were really heavy.

By the time you'd cut off the armour, and had the gear ratios modified, it wasn't a cheap tractor any more.

Pretty good, and a good advancement in snow tires, but I'm sorry, this is no where NEAR the "fastest speed ever recorded for tractors" as they imply, maybe the 'fastest speed for unmodified (except for software, which is everything on new computer controlled motors) commercially available tractors on commercially available unmodified tires on ice'....
...because even lawn tractors have gone WAY faster, over 130MPH....
