You're giving up Pepsi until abortion "ends?" Cool story.
I don't know about anyone else, but when life begins doesn't even come into the equation for me.
I swatted a bug today. I have no doubt that it was alive. And I didn't have any problem with killing it.
I also had roast beef for supper last night. That cow was once alive. I have no problem with eating meat and the fact that is was alive doesn't bother me in the slightest.
When life begins means shit all. Life isn't sacred. If I consider anything sacred it might be called 'humanness'.
The issue is when the cluster of cells inside a woman achieves the level of development to be called a viable human being. If the cluster of cells wouldn't be able to live on its own, it's no more important than that millions of cells I will lose today through scratching, shitting, eating, etc.
R.C. Helicopter View Of Warsaw Riots.
Really cool POV. I hope this catches on, although our society doesn't really need another possible way of intruding on privacy. I gotta get myself a tinfoil hat, and a video-camera-mounted-r.c-helicopter-swat.
Judge William Adams beats daughter with cerebral palsy
Yea I was swatted at, spanked with a wooden spoon, fed soap, etc. I'm not against negative reinforcement but in the case here, the girl is clearly afraid of her parents and they clearly go over the top in continuing to torment her. The kid was screaming for them to stop and there was plenty of time for the parents to reflect on the situation and ask themselves "do I think she's learned her lesson?" The parents were also "emoting" their own anger upon the child. That's not right. You should never inflict damage upon somebody based on your anger. I can't do that in the streets, why should I be able to do it with my child?
You can't just call the "objective definition" card to win an argument when circumstance has to determine the severity of the actions. If she got drunk, stole her mother's vehicle and ran over a group of preschoolers, then raped their remains, I'd say "yea, that is an adequate reaction". But this is over a computer. He was clearly just angry that she disobeyed him, which is purely egotistical. And this man is locking your peers up. I wonder how often he gets emotional and angry when sentencing somebody...I wonder how objective he is in that situation.
I'd like to know...where do you draw the line...also, what's your real name so I can make sure my kids will never be around you.>> ^longde:
Until you guys can give me an objective definition or objective standard of abuse, you're just emoting over your own personal line in the sand on the matter.
It's great to feel a sense of self-righteousness, until you're a parent, and you happen to cross another person's arbitrary line in the sand.
I was punished with a belt as a child, and it NEVER left bruises. It did leave welts that lasted a day. And you're damn right I was afraid of disobeying my parents and afraid of punishment. Thank heavens you guys weren't around to toss me into a foster home.
Wasp Nest Trapped in a Bowl
>> ^skinnydaddy1:
Found a nest of those the hard way. Was helping a guy prepping a house for painting. I was on the roof prepping some over hangs. When I got stung the first time. No biggie I thought I'll swat it and go on. I looked down and saw about 10 of the fuckers on my stomach and more streaming out of a hole in the roof. Then as more and more landed on me they all stung about the same time. I screamed, rolled, fell, landed on top of a fence, pinwheeled and landed on the guy. (All the while getting stung again and again) we both screamed. We are now both being stung. Scrambled and dove in to a near by pool. 80+ stings. 3 cracked ribs and 2 broken fingers. (No idea how I broke them) I decided no to work outside anymore after that.
Mother nature does not like me and I've not found enough money to buy a flame thrower so I could fight back.
My father is a carpenter so dealing with wasps was a regular thing. Rather than a flamethrower, we found a plain old hand saw to be the most practical line of defense. I dubbed it the "bee accelerator". Waving it through the air is a great way to fend off dozens of them at a time. They also make a very satisfying *ping!* as they hit the blade.
Of course the most important part of dealing with wasps is to be aware of them before they start stinging you. If you find yourself totally surprised, all bets are off.
Congrats on breaking my record for most stings in a single attack, though. I've only ever managed about 30-35.

Well the old saying it true. "“Comedy is tragedy plus time.” -Carol Burnett
and thanks to the internet that comedy gets to the public even faster.
I feel we shall be laughing at the maker of these videos soon. The act of using glass bowls over wasp spray or more efficient means will provide the general public with pain and comedy soon.

Actually, I kinda liked the "HAHA! Gotcha!" playful swat at the end.

Thats fine, as far as I know you are not a member of the force there so what you say is just second or third hand knowledge.

I completely disagree. These charges are in no way violence related. You can EASILY serve an arrest warrant without drawing a gun. Put your hand on it if it makes you happy. Now, were they serving a warrant for murder, then sure, blaze in there with guns drawn.
>> ^BoneRemake:
Do SOME of you not understand that they draw their guns for a reason ? its called training and its protocol. Just because a swat team may be involved with bringing down Popeye's spinach vegan factory doesnt mean they will walk in there with Guns on their backs and friendly waves of "hello " hands and the warrant in hand. Wake up, they have protocol to follow.
As well I am pretty sure what skeeve said was that its for others protection not just the people who want to drink milk, sure they get sick ( fuck'em in my opinion, its their choice) but it is communicable to others, the general population, WHICH government does give a shit about ( or so I heard once)
