Terrible economic news.
254000 jobs (after the last two great months that both had their great jobs numbers revised UP).
4% unemployment
Wages up almost double inflation
Stocks skyrocketing into unheard of realms
Both the port authority and longshoremen publicly credited Butigieg for ending their stalemate and getting an agreement that put the ports back to work. The felon’s only idea was “fire every one that strikes” because he doesn’t understand the job requires years of experience scabs simply do not have and that would paralyze the shipping industry in America for years if not permanently.
The felon is livid, how dare America not fail for his benefit!?! 😂
Shocker, the oldest and most delusional candidate ever now refuses to release his medical records after promising to do so all summer. What horrific thing is he hiding?
As a bonus, student loan forgiveness was approved by the courts today. When it rains, it pours.

How Bad is The Cost of Living Squeeze In the US?
To my “Dumber than a box of hammers”
So, 2023 is over…
Gas, below $3 nationwide
Food, below last years prices
Cars, dropped all year in price
Interest rates…not up for credit cards that charge the maximum allowable by law to most customers, but true for loans….but for investments like CDs or bonds it’s a good thing so at worst a wash? It’s not slowing the housing market much.
Even inflation is at 3%…well below wage gains.
Also better, under Biden we avoided a recession everyone insisted was a certainty 12 months ago, and his administration has helped with student loans (and would have done more without Republicans blocking him), prescription drug costs, even car maintenance costs are lower thanks to the biggest infrastructure investment in our lifetimes. Unemployment continues to be at record lows for a record long timeframe.
His DOJ has also prosecuted thousands of cases of ppp loan frauds Trump allowed, recouping some of that easily stolen money.
If Republicans would stop blocking funding, he might fix the border too…we will never know because Republicans won’t pass a funding bill for more officers to catch and courts to deal with the influx, and instead are again threatening to shut down the government over the border without a solution themselves.
Wanna try again?
And I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again…I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a toy’s r us kid. How sad that must be for you.
" it’s better by every single measure used to measure any economy."
Gas , food , cars, interest rates all cost more.
Your dumber than a bag of hammers.
Newt, grow up.

Odd, the Trump unsupervised PPP “loans” that Cons all took advantage of, then had forgiven (the same rich people who fought against student loan forgiveness)….that has no impact I guess?
Yeah…the timeline says no, not really. The QE and handouts happened in 2020 and early 21 as Tesla was skyrocketing, not what made them crash. You are just blathering.
Remember, you 100% denied the insane unheard of level of QE Trump did had anything to do with inflation, proving you have 0 grasp of economics.
Pumping money into the system is the only guaranteed way to cause inflation, and Trump did it more than any other president in history. He saw it as a way to spend more off the books. In fact, it was an unapproved tax on every American in the form of massive inflation you simply blamed on Biden for years. Kind of hard to swallow your sudden realization that printing money hurts the economy when you absolutely denied it when your guy printed money….over 40% of all money ever printed was printed in 2020. Where was this bob in 2020? It’s true, the money printing by Trump and to a much lesser extent Biden increased inflation significantly…but that doesn’t account for Tesla crashing twice as bad as other car companies.
He’s correct, we will end the fossil fuel industry. Importantly he gave no timeline in your clip. Reality is under Biden oil and gas production is up….but refining capacity down. The only way he could directly effect that is nationalizing oil and gas companies and forcing them to lower their profit margins to pre pandemic levels.
Reality is you were simply lied to, again, we were not a net exporter of energy under Trump. Only during the summer, in winter we imported more than we shipped out in summer. Net importers.
https://www.usnews.com/news/top-news/articles/2022-12-19/u-s-poised-to-become-net-exporter-of-crude-oil-in-2023
Since you’ve been misled, you should understand Biden only halted NEW leases of federal oil fields until the companies that want them use the leases they already have. Oil companies want to buy the fields but not drill, creating more shortages and higher prices/profits. Biden insists they make use of the land already leased before locking out tens of millions more federal acres from exploitation by their competition or any other use.
We still export oil, and import it. Our refining capabilities went down under Trump when he ok’ed the sale of the biggest refinery in America to the Saudis and they instantly cut production. In 2020, our demand went down, but not below our production.
Oil companies lost a combined $76 billion over 2020, then made over $2 trillion profits 2021 and $4 trillion 2022. Utter bullshit it’s just making their losses back. An outright bold faced lie that relies on ignorance of any facts to be believed.
Trump ok’ed the murder of American citizens by the crown prince, bragged about protecting him from murder charges. Trump gave the Saudis top secret information about dissidents in their country which they paid son in law Kushner $2 billion for then murdered them. These included people working for America.
Trump also sold the Saudis our refining capabilities without which them being pissed would make no difference if we were actually a net exporter (we aren’t, never were) and still owned our infrastructure (we don’t), the evil murderous Saudis would have no leverage at all. Duh.
QE Quantitative Easing
helicopter $ All those Gov Checks that kept people home.
Gas policy. Biden want to kill the oil industry. Transition to cleaner forms of energy is great but you can't just switch off our dependency of oil.
https://youtu.be/PIbrBk9b1Hg
https://youtu.be/Dtf4Q_qzx44
under Trump we were a net exporter of oil. Now we need to import.
oil companies are reporting record breaking profits. But it follows pandemic-fueled losses.
Biden pissed the Saudis over the assassination of the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi so they say no oil for you, Joe..
When the SPR is depleted or stopped being used what do you think will happen to gas prices?

So apparently Trump’s final (secret) move in office was to erase the “red flags” on 2.7 million PPP loans that would have caused the recipients to be investigated, and most would have been forced to return the money. All loans over $2 million had red flags erased, apparently the smaller loans didn’t get the same treatment, the most common red flag was that the companies didn’t exist in February 2020. (They were created on paper to defraud the PPP loan process set up by Trump’s administration with no oversight intentionally to allow fraud.)
$190 BILLION worth of flagged >$2 million loans to millionaires he demanded not be investigated for obvious fraud and instead be totally forgiven.
Kinda puts a damper on the “we can’t afford student loan forgiveness” of loans in the tens of thousands to the needy when we can afford fraudulent millionaire loan forgiveness of loans in the millions to millionaires, and tax giveaways to them in the millions at the same time.
More Republican crime covered up by Trump. Another $190 BILLION handed to millionaire crooks by their public spokesman….after $2 TRILLION in tax breaks.
In case you missed it, Trump’s Proud Boys are pleading guilty to seditious conspiracy, admitting they were attempting a coup for Trump at his direction and with some direct assistance and communication directly from highest ranking members of his administration (Stone, Giuliani, secret service agents) that knew what they were doing ahead of time.
They stood back and stood by until Trump called them to help with his coup. That’s treason. All parties complicit in the conspiracy are guilty too…that includes Trump and his family.
The sentence for treason is death. America may soon inherit a number of deep in debt golf courses! (Unless some nut with high powered guns they shouldn’t have takes matters into their own hands)
Beau schools on schooling: why 'FREE' scares Biff & Babs
https://theintercept.com/2022/08/25/student-loans-debt-reagan/
holds water. at the time, thought with derisive cyniscism 'why is he doing this? maybe he wants to be sure the GOP has enough voters!'
held that thought privately until it became obvious.
yeah. most enlightened (the truly bright) find education a gift that all people should be given. ben franklin, Andrew Carnegie, et al knew the deep effect of education on a people/nation/society.
'sides, doesn't do the US well to have hungry air force personnel mistakenly launch missiles when they thought the button said 'lunch'.
I think this argument is invalid from the standpoint of what groups of people he is talking about. The people who tend to value free education by supplementing with tax dollars tend to vote democrat. People who want to keep education expensive and withhold tax aid tend to be republican. Particularly in these modern times: the exit polls show that the more educated you are, the more likely you were to vote democrat. The most educated people seem to be electing those who would like to make education low cost.
Given this, the argument that 'education is kept expensive to keep competition down' is unlikely (though not impossible) to come from an educated person...because the statistics show that this tends to not be the values of an educated person. The educated 'club' tends to value exactly the opposite, and wants everyone to be educated.
Beau schools on schooling: why 'FREE' scares Biff & Babs
Truly there should be a helping hand to bright students who can't get a scholarship, loans to to to higher education.
I was poor student , didnt care about it got low grades. -- A year of washing dishes made me think find a white collar job. Dad refused to pay / help. I ended up getting student loans.
Dads motto -
IF you want something bad enough you will find a way.
Dad was a HS grad and was writing quotes for Navy Nuclear and many other million $ bids. Smartest man I know.
Paid my way through Penn State, slept on the floor, no heat 1/2 year ---- but I did it . Paid back my student loans and I am a better person for it.
higher education should place a finical burden on you - You will work harder because you can't afford to fck around.
That being said college / universities are over charging and raping students more and more every year.
? do college charge more because they know that the student can get the loan? I think so.
I think If you drop the amount a student can get in loans I sure tuition will drop to that level --- Supply and demand.
Biden Approval WTF
Biden and his administration just put up to $20k in the pocketbooks of Americans with crushing student loans making under $125k, and a pause on payments for everyone until 23…also a cap on payments at 5% of income.
Filling American pocketbooks and erasing crushing debts….Republicans are totally against it.
What dumb fuckstick wouldn’t vote for this accomplished elder statesman?!? 😂
BTW- Biden’s approval rating is 41%….Trump’s is below 36%. D’oh!
This administration and its party are destroying the American pocketbook.
What a fuckstick voted for this frail old man?
Biden Approval WTF
LMFAHS!!! I made 14% between June-August. How about you? 😂
That’s double what I made 2016-2020 in 2 months!! My pocketbook is comparatively bursting…is that what you mean?
Your tantrums, nonsensical complaints, and snowflake tears really brighten my day, thanks.
Remember, Trump had -3.5% gdp his last year, the worst gdp drop in American history, millions unemployed, tens of thousands of businesses shutdown permanently, supply chains completely broken, shelves bare, and what, almost $9 trillion deficit spending in his last year? (Don’t forget 1 million dead Americans)
What idiot fuckwit would ever vote for that frail old delusional convicted conman and traitor? He stole nuclear secrets.
Edit: looks like Biden is likely to put $10k in the pocketbooks of Americans making under $125k with student loan debt….more destruction, oh no!
This administration and its party are destroying the American pocketbook.
What a fuckstick voted for this frail old man?

Thanks to passing this, now the republican's aren't going to reneg on a 10 year agreement and turn that shit basically into a huge extra debt for me. That's good. Not to mention the recent ruling with predatory lending practices through NAVIENT. I been making double/triple payments on a student loan through them and still not cracked the principle balance for some reason. (the reason is, what they were doing is criminal) (thanks biden!)

Maybe not a good year if all your friends and fam are dying because they wear red hats instead of masks like fucking dumbasses.
Not a good year for Joe.
Not a good year for the American pocketbook.
Why should college be free
Don't know this Stossel guy (seems like a tool), but was always a fan of Mike Rowe, and also his initiative to get more workers in the trades.
I've seen plumbers (2-yr degree + certification) with higher hourly rates than lawyers (8-yr degree + bar exam). I also know a guy who makes more now as a general contractor than he did as a DBA (B.S. in Computer Science).
I think part of this is supply & demand- not as many tradespeople so the wages go up to hire those willing, and the cost of higher wages gets passed on to the customer.
But the point of this video isn't "should you go to college?", it's "the liberals want hard-working people to pay for college for all these liberal students", which is a false premise and why I can't upvote it.
I think community college should be taxpayer-funded for those students who want more than just high school. (but they should have to maintain certain GPA to remain free)
As far as other private Universities, they should be able to charge for it. Colleges that receive Federal or State money should have a cap on the rate that tuition can increase per year (maybe based on inflation). Over the past 20 years, most college tuition has gone up way more than inflation or wages.
Rather than student-loan forgiveness, I'd rather see a federal program that will help those students who couldn't finish school go back and get their degree (where it will pay for itself) or get a different degree. Most of this sub-$10k student debt they talk about is for students who never got their degree.
Hasan Minhaj Calls Out Congress Over Student Loans
Yep, that was a oh snap line!
The sad thing is someone who's having a bad financial time cant wipe the student loan debt via backruptcy, yet we have a six time bankrupt loser as president...
Gotta love that dig in the last line!

Think of it a bit like this (quote from Wilde)
"...surrounded by hideous poverty, by hideous ugliness, by hideous starvation. It is inevitable that they should be strongly moved by all this. The emotions of man are stirred more quickly than man’s intelligence; and, as I pointed out some time ago in an article on the function of criticism, it is much more easy to have sympathy with suffering than it is to have sympathy with thought. Accordingly, with admirable, though misdirected intentions, they very seriously and very sentimentally set themselves to the task of remedying the evils that they see. But their remedies do not p. 3cure the disease: they merely prolong it. Indeed, their remedies are part of the disease.
They try to solve the problem of poverty, for instance, by keeping the poor alive; or, in the case of a very advanced school, by amusing the poor.
But this is not a solution: it is an aggravation of the difficulty. The proper aim is to try and reconstruct society on such a basis that poverty will be impossible. And the altruistic virtues have really prevented the carrying out of this aim. Just as the worst slave-owners were those who were kind to their slaves, and so prevented the horror of the system being realized by those who suffered from it, and understood by those who contemplated it"
--------------
And allow me to pop this out:
"the worst slave-owners were those who were kind to their slaves"
--------------
This is a stark/bleak example. I don't personally agree with it entirely. As I said, I bring cereal for my students and it's there and free and available unless I don't have time to get to the store or unless I myself am out of pocket change to buy extra food.
I don't ENTIRELY disagree though ----> Which is not to say that I agree.
I would say, YES there are structural changes that need to take place, but I also believe that assistance needs to be there to handle some kind of transition period while a problem is realized.
ALL of that being said
Here is a perfect example of a societal ill in our current system that needs to be addressed. It's a disgusting by-product of a structurally unsound student loan system.
