Understandable....but I meant I was disappointed in the video not mentioning them, not your comment.
As a group famous for being masked and gory theatrics on stage, it seemed reasonable to expect them to mention at least one of the major groups that started the genre. Maybe they do in the full version?
I was lucky enough to see GWAR in a tiny club in East Oakland in the 80's. They didn't have room for a lot of their bigger stuff, but still put on a great show in a club with at least double capacity of young punks. When it was over at about 2am, the punks spilled out into the East Oakland streets and instantly a dozen street fights broke out! What a night!

Not that you would use boxing techniques in a streetfight, but even more importantly, this guy's "boxing" is terrible. You don't throw a punch and leave your arm hanging out there. I don't care if it's for the sake of explanation, it's misrepresentation of the form. A punch immediately comes back into guard position. Always leaving one glove in place, and the guard should never be dropped. This example is so full of error it's worthless.

That aside, if someone is "boxing" in a street fight, no gloves means injured hands, and several swift kicks will quickly expose the gap in their armor.

Good video but I'm not sure I agree with his marketing technique. Like telling douchebags they could become untouchable in street fights.

I didnt project there being kids in the van,but if you do it sure does make it seem much more horrific. I find videos of people being beat up in a street fight much worse, and there are plenty of those on the sift. I guess it all comes down to that we all judge videos differently in the way of what we are comfortable with and in turn what we think is appropriate for VS.

I agree that it looked like he had a few good instincts. That little kick at 0:42 and the stiff left at 1:02 got his opponent thinking. I also think it's pretty cool how, when he went down, his head never fell and it looked like he barely even broke eye contact. I bet he used to be a pretty tough dude in a good-old-fashioned street-fight.
