Uh-oh!

newtboy says...

Considering the news, I’m surprised he’s not catatonic.

Trump facing tax fraud, bank fraud, theft of classified documents, keeping classified documents, keeping classified documents unsecured (a separate charge), election interference, election fraud(s), causing a riot, attempting a coup, deriliction of duty, obstruction….
edit: and a judge just determined there is a valid, legitimate, substantive justification for the house committee investigating Trump’s tax fraud to get his un redacted taxes…it’s been ruled to not be just a fishing expedition. Bad week!

Meanwhile Biden has erased the Trump employment losses completely, inflation In July was 0%, gas prices dropping precipitously, massive legislation wins….

Reality is kicking the cons in the balls, and it’s wearing soccer cleats. At this rate, Trump’s kindergarten sex slave dungeon should be discovered mid October, with the sign in sheet containing the signatures of nearly half the senate.

Interesting….it was also a pro-Putin rally apparently. Not surprising, they’re both rabidly anti American morons.
But at least they aren’t child sex abusers like Bobert and her pedophile husband who, while out together (her 17, him 24), exposed himself to numerous underage girls at a bowling alley (just one entry in their LONG violence filled rap sheets, but one that should have them both on the sex offender registry). Or the time she was arrested for trying to get a group of kids caught underage drinking to run from the cops….more child abuse, not to mention the domestic violence on both their parts. BTW, after interrupting the state of the union to heckle Biden over her claim that he wasn’t supporting veterans who were sick from toxic exposure she then voted against supporting veterans who were sick from toxic exposure while deployed.

You have some real winners there. The best of your best….they learned from the master, Trump, a well known pedophile and child abuser, besties with Epstein for decades….and total fucking moron.

Greene and Gosar were scheduled speakers and celebrities at a racist white nationalist rally last weekend.
Republicans gave lip service to the idea that racist white nationalism doesn’t belong in the party, but have not censured or reprimanded either for what isn’t their first time courting racist white nationalists, because there clearly and blatantly is a place for racist white nationalists, neo-nazis, and white terrorists in your party….way more room than there is for those concerned with direct attacks against democracy and America and other treason.
Also Wendy Rogers (AZ) at different events. Her Republican Governor supported that by funding her campaign.
You can stop pretending you aren’t racist and fascist, your party has all but given up denying it.

5SF: Sheet Ghost

BSR says...

The sheet slipped its corner under the crack in the door, inching through with a mind of its own. She froze staring at it, her leg half out the window. Max stopped screaming. They just watched as the fabric kept pooling inside, about to take human shape again.

Calmly, Max turned to her and spoke deeper than he ever had before, somehow knowing it was the end. As the sheet rose behind him, he intoned to her: “Why couldn’t you save me, Mom?”

Indoor Tornado

psycop says...

The creator put some answers in the comments:

How the heck did i make it?

The living room of my father's place had a very strong ceiling fan, which could go in reverse. Instead of blowing air down, it would pull the air up. That would create an updraft strong enough to sustain the vortex. Next, I had a box fan and a blanket set up to redirect the air flow so it rotated around the center of the room. You can see it as the dark blue object in the back right. After the fans were turned on, I laid out an old dark red bed sheet with a small PVC pipe underneath it connected to a fog machine. The bed sheet allowed the fog to gently seep through and get pulled into the vortex, as opposed to being blasted out of the pipe. And then it was all a matter of letting the ceiling fan's updraft and the box fan's rotation mix into a 10 ft tall indoor tornado!!

The surprising history of hand-washing - BBC REEL

BSR says...

Being in the death business I wash my hands a lot to the point where it's hard to separate two sheets of paper or handle cardboard boxes due to having no oils to grip with. It's not like I can just swipe some saliva off my tongue. I do wear rubber gloves when handling the deceased but not everything is sanitized such as door knobs and surfaces where you would not normally use gloves. I always use rubber gloves to pick my nose though.

Before Are "Friends" Electric?

vil says...

My dad has this attachment to 50s rock and roll and he rightly believes everything in pop music was invented in the 50s and possibly the 60s.

I remember most of these songs (the british ones) coming out and me being fascinated by what could be done differently to what was then the mainstream. However pop quickly devolved through the 80s and I found myself meandering back in time, from late to early Talking Heads, from late to early Genesis and Floyd and Yes and Jethro Tull and Mike Oldfield and Fleetwood Mac, discovering the Beatles and the Beach Boys were actually good at some point, finding out Frank Zappa was a thing and discovering that yes, the guy who made late 20th century pop music up in his garage, with his searches for new sounds and writing his own music and lyrics was indeed one Buddy Holly in the 50s.

Anyway I found myself listening to a rather childish track by Basement Jaxx years later and could not quite put my finger on what made that one track work for me. All these bands that only have one really good track... Anyway what was going on was a Gary Numan sample.

So I went back and listened to some of this old stuff and I was really surpised that some of it still works.

But back in 1980 if you heard Numan, early Midge Ure Ultravox minus the ubiquitous title track of the album, Visage, or a couple of years later the Eurythmics you would hear a sound that was strikingly new and different.

Thinking back Peter Gabriels 3rd solo album (although itself very electronic) took me out of the electronic pop bandcamp and more into alternative rock. That and lucking into a friend who had an older brother who had all the old Genesis records also as sheet music including lyrics. That or David Byrne.

The main point is the music you like is the music you liked when you were 13.

Biggest World War Two bomb found in Poland explodes

SFOGuy says...

Ah; cutting charge forced a sheet of molten metal through the middle of the thing? Or---charge forcing a slug of water into the middle of bomb to disrupt it?

The bomb was actually too large for a controlled explosion, with 2,400 kg of explosive, so instead the navy divers used a technique that was supposed to cut open the casing and burn the explosives inside. This was the successful result

What has Trump done that is "great"? Still waiting for an answer. Bob #2 might not have attached the new cover sheet to his report from the other day, ask him if he saw the memo about it.

White supremacist Kenosha County Sheriff david beth

Mordhaus says...

I don't agree with him, but there are normal protesters and then there are Antifa people.

If you dig a bit deeper into the whole Kyle Rittenhouse thing, you find out a lot that is being flat out ignored.

1. The kid was protecting a business that had already been vandalized by Antifa.
2. He was pepper sprayed by Antifa 'protesters' for guarding the site.

3. Then a white pedophile started attacking him while saying the n word, "Cmon and shoot ME, N****!"

4. In the ensuing conflict, which included at least one gunshot from the Antifa folks, Kyle shot that guy and then tried to run to the police lines as multiple Antifa people tried to chase him down to beat him/take away his gun.
5. He tripped and a person with a skateboard, as well as a rap sheet for assaults a mile long, started beating him with the skateboard as he lay prone. This was the second person who got shot.

6. The final 'protester' was carrying a Glock 17 and later said (paraphrasing) "I wish I would have just mag dumped the Glock into him while he was laying there". This protester also had a massive rap sheet and shouldn't even have had the Glock, but in his intelligence he started trying to wrestle the AR-15 from Kyle...from the business end. He was the last person shot and lost a bicep.

So, in short, a scared kid who shouldn't have been there was attacked, shot at, and mauled by several 'peaceful' protesters. He defended himself and then tried to run to the police, but they weren't having that, so some more people got shot.

Now he will probably get sentenced to life in a highly politicized trial because he stood up and tried to guard property that 'peaceful Antifa protesters' were trying to burn to the ground.

I think the supreme court agreed with me (edit: apparently I'm wrong there, they struck down that part of the law), voters sure do.

IDs cost money, so are a poll tax if they're required to vote. Make them free, you erase that argument. Then you only have to solve accessibility.

Tens of millions of Americans don't have ID. Trump thinks you need one to buy bread because he's never done it, but has also likely never needed ID either...why would he?
If you're paid in cash and can't afford to drive, who needs ID?
https://www.aclu.org/other/oppose-voter-id-legislation-fact-sheet

That's the only thing you took issue with? That's real progress. So forget the mail in vote fraud fraud, and we're agreed that universal voting would kill the Republican party and they only survive by voter suppression.

bobknight33 said:

Your barking up a dead tree and Voter ID is not poll tax. Thee is no evidence to support that position.

You can't live in USA with out an ID.

How it Starts

No badge, no identification=not law enforcement.
These are federal government sanctioned kidnappers. You can shoot kidnappers in the face. No jury in America would convict you.
Use black talons.

Where are the gun toting Americans who always claim they're the only thing between citizens and tyranny? Funny how they hide between the sheets or side with tyranny when tyranny shows it's head.

Sheets Weren’t Changed at Some Hotels During COVD-19

Mystic95Z says...

Nasty... Glad I'm not a big traveler/hotel user.... At least last time I did (last Nov) it was at a AirBnB rental and it was required that all beds be stripped before leaving and the sheets etc be thrown in the laundry room... Seems these corporate a-holes are trying to cut corners to save a buck hoping they don't get caught...
