No point in using on cars unless there is a structural concern. Sandblasting is quicker, uses less energy, and costs a lot less for the initial equipment. The only thing this would be good for is for cleaning surfaces that cannot afford to be eroded, such as sculptures or maybe very old cars with dodgy metal quality.

I've read that Murray hated, HATED, filming the movie, so it might have actually seemed longer than that to the actor.

That being said, I think the author of this piece drastically overstated the times by doubling many days and assuming our reporter buddy needed to become an "expert" in all things. He spoke a phrase in french doesn't mean he is an expert in French. He knows some pieces on a piano doesn't mean he's an expert in all piano. And he could have taken a few hours of lessons and then grabbed the chainsaw to practice cutting the ice sculpture.

The desert sculpture described by @oritteropo at least is meaningful, and is a memorial for a plane that was the victim of terrorism...though interestingly, generating that sculpture cost its creator his marriage and his career.

The reason you don't see down-votes around here scud in my estimation is that historically on this site, balls don't drop until there's something passionate to hide behind while three or more distracted members of the same camp wail like mourners at a funeral in Istanbul. Come on guys, it's not like ulysses1904 hasn't had a bevy of accomplishments of his/her own. Why, I remember the other day seeing one of his/her sculptures in an art gallery and in addition to being totally grown up, it was 100% original: not a shred of derivative inspiration.

So take that, you naysayers! I'm what you'd call a fan of his/her work.

If you're wondering, as "cheap" as $1200~ for smaller sculptures, averages roughly $5000, goes upwards of $12000.
