Salvia Freak Out!!! - Salvia is bad mmkay

No sitter, fail.

mindbrain has it right.
Fake or not, the behavior depicted is completely in the realm of possibility, and totally irresponsible.
There were two people in the room. One should have been sober and watching the other.

You don't try to land the space shuttle if you are drunk. You let someone else take care of that while you contemplate the view.
..and yes, taking Salvia in a room that hasn't been properly prepped, without a sitter, can be like trying to land the space shuttle while drunk.

Having tried salvia before, I believe this video (not that it's terribly difficult to believe anyway). Even with my little baby hits, it had a more-than-noticeable effect on the muscles in my arms & legs. It compels you to move to try and mitigate the uncomfortable feeling in your muscles. And this kid took a monster hit.

The one good thing about salvia: the smoke smells nice since it's part of the mint family.

Ready, set, go! Noooooooooooooooo!

All I said is he had time to prepare, think over in his mind how he would present it (maybe there was even multiple takes)... gather himself. We could do the same for Sketch's trip.. and if there was anything in his story that moved him, perhaps he too would break into tears. I'm just saying you're weighing how he conducts himself as some sort of proof that what he described actually happened. Sketch'es trip seemed 100% real to him while he was in it (Salvia can cause you to forget what your actual surroundings are), just like going into a deep dream can do as well.

I see a video that was produced by, I assume, a church.. they even pulled in some actors, etc.. of course he's going to present things clearly and with poise.

I think this needs to be in my playlist for the discussion alone, but also as a prime example of how the brain can easily misfire. I once had a salvia trip where I was absolutely certain, and despondent, that I was trapped in an insignificant, utilitarian corner of reality as a kind of giant roller stamped down every moment of existence on top of me and then passed me by. When I came out of it I was emotionally drained and relieved. I certainly do not still believe that time and space is actually rolled out, and I certainly don't call my experience "testimony" for anything. This man has done nothing but misinterpret imagery from his own temporarily broken brain into something far more meaningful than it was, and then told everyone that his experience was true.
Do a lot of people come up with this same imagery when they have similar situations? Absolutely! When your culture is super-saturated with religious imagery (particular religion dependent on region and parenting, of course), then it's not a stretch to find it seep into one's subconscious mind and present itself in delusional visions during such extreme neurological events.

I think there is probably a bit of difference between tripping out on drugs and thinking that the Universe is trying to destroy you and having an experience where God comes to you, heals you on every level to the extent that your life is profoundly changed, and then proceeds to review your entire life with you before sending you back to your body. He explains all of this with an uncommon clarity..doesn't seem like it was a fever dream to me.

When you are the electronic music snob like me, you tend to say things like, that's not trance, that's electro house...then at the end of the day it's the difference between taking a cock in your mouth or taking one in your ass.

That's good stuff. Kind of trancey, which I enjoy, even if trance itself gets too gay at times. After more than half an hour I tend to find a cock in my mouth. I even downloaded WimAmp like you suggested. I haven't had WinAmp on any computer of mine in ages, but the Milkdrop2 visualization made it worthwhile. Should I try another salvia trip while watching it? Mmm, maybe not. I don't want the floor to turn into a hand that's trying to grab me again.

That's some funky stuff. It's all over the place. He makes it work though.

Check this song out, I know you like some of that funky electronic stuff. I like to listen to this on winamp with the milkdrop2 visualizations. I recommend getting it if you don't have it already...

I don't know if you like hip hop mashups with heavy sampling, but if you do then you might like this work from Girl Talk (Gregg Gillis):

It's a completely free download, so if you don't like it you've lost nothing but the time you spent listening to it. I know some people consider this type of music a novelty, but not all novelties are bad, are they? I wouldn't want to listen to it all day, but it's a nice diversion. It's amazing how many different artists he samples. Give it a try.

An young rock star doing...drugs?! My god.

This is salvia for sure. Weed doesn't do that to people right out of the gate, although it doesn't take a Sherlock Holmes to deduce that both were consumed this night.
