THIS CROW CAN TALK! LIKE A HUMAN!!!

newtboy says...

I’m not SURE you’re wrong, but that looks like single pane glass which barely muffles sound at all (just like I have in my 70 year old house), and crows are definitely known for learning how to mimic words quite well.

Or perhaps (more likely) this unit has a malfunctioning cpu and its surveillance recordings are getting mixed up with its bird sound effect files and its amplifier is also being overpowered.
Birds aren’t real!

Yeah this crow can talk like I can sing like [insert your fav artist] with auto-tune.

Window's closed. Crow's volume picked up just fine.

Tesla Demo of Tesla Bot GEN 2

BSR says...

First thing I noticed was this robot doesn't have shoe laces. It's got LOAFERS!

I would think anything that mimics a human should be smart enough to tie shoe laces for a pair of Gucci Rooster Leather Brogues. Am I right?

I'm not impressed.

Today’s MAGA domestic terrorist.
Thomas Howard, caught vandalizing his town because he had to leave Trump stickers at the scenes of your crimes. Police tracked the sticker and only one set had ever been sold. Led straight to the Maggot who admitted to the full year of terrorizing their town with hateful MAGA graffiti, destroying private property, and more.

Today’s bonus MAGA election fraud CONVICTION… Douglass Mackey convicted of suppressing the vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016 by using Twitter to mimic the Clinton campaign and con women and minorities to believe that Clinton wanted them to “vote by text” or social media instead at the ballot box.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves | Official Trailer

Zawash says...

That different colored dragons have different breath attacks is very, very much Dungeons & Dragons. For not to mention monsters like Mimics, Owlbear, Gelatinous Cubes and other silliness. This feels *very much* like pen and paper DnD.

So dragons don't breathe fire but rather ... hot coals (or black dragon phlegm)? OK...

Native American Hoop Dance and Hip-Hop

oritteropo says...

Depending on the dance, the hoops can be used to mimic animals or birds or hunting or many other things, and according to the video the tradition dates back thousands of years. The other part of the video shows a more up to date take on the hoop dance and hip-hop.

I didn't get why the hoops---sorry, the circular allusion is to the horizon? the sun? a pow wow circle?

Cool

Narcissists and SOCIAL MEDIA

Khufu says...

If you see the behind-the-scene filming of your favourite movie or tv show it looks a bit cringy too. but it's what you see onscreen that is the subject to be judged.. I think these people are trying to do things that mimic what they see pro models/actors/musicians do in videos/photos. and it works, they try all sorts of angles and find a good shot then post it and it makes people think they are awesome and are worth following/listening too.. then they plug products and get paid. no big deal.. just the tech has gotten cheap for consumers and distribution is simple.

How thieves steal keyless tech cars

spawnflagger says...

Sorry, last message was ambiguous - you need the key fob to be in close proximity to both unlock, and to press the start button.
From the video, the thief driving the car takes his box inside the car as well, which would mimic the key in order to start it as well.

ChaosEngine said:

Wow, you would have thought that starting the car would require proximity to the key as well. That seems like a really basic security flaw.

What happens if you leave the car unlocked (or worse, the door or window is open?

John Oliver - New Email Probe

Drachen_Jager says...

That still doesn't cover it. I've seen this claim, it's just spam from Trump to Alfa bank.

That doesn't explain why traffic peaked at important campaign moments.

It doesn't explain why the server on Trump's end suddenly went offline as soon as Alfa Bank was informed the connection was under observation.

It doesn't explain why there was as much communication coming FROM Alfa as there was leaving Trump's end.

It doesn't explain why the pattern mimics the usage of humans (computers don't sleep, they spam 24/7).

It doesn't explain why a NEW server on Trump's end opened for business a few days after the old one shut down and the VERY FIRST communication with another internet node was with Alfa Bank.

It's not 100% lock evidence. But, coupled with Trump's echoing of Putin policy positions, get rid of NATO, cede Ukraine, support Bashir al Assad, AND the fact that he's had three close advisors who have had direct financial and personal connection with Putin or Putin cronies (not to even mention his own financial dealings in Russia, which he won't reveal, even though he acknowledges that he's got "a lot" of money from Russia), I'd say it's pretty damning. Certainly more damning than anything in Clinton's e-mails AND the implications are greater. Clinton probably skirted the rules to benefit herself. Trump is almost certainly working as a Russian agent, even when it conflicts with American interests. I'd say that's no contest.

Kid Gets Custom Trump Shirt Made Gets Special Message

newtboy says...

In normal circumstances, I would agree. These were/are not normal circumstances.
He sought out a store that would be the most hostile to his request intentionally with the hope that they would do something like this, no question about that.
In a more perfect world, I would mostly agree (except it literally IS their business). This is far from a perfect world.

It's a trap, because most liberals are against allowing businesses to deny service to those they dislike for religious/political reasons, even though they would really like to mimic them. That means that denying him service plays into their hands even more than making a snide subliminal addition to the interior of the shirt. This is the catch 22 they have put themselves in, where there's no good option.
I think they should be allowed to refuse service to anyone for any reason....but those they refuse are allowed to make a public stink about it and 'boycott' (like this guy would have had they refused to make a shirt).

Lukio said:

For me it's quite the contrary, I would prefer that a company where I order custom printed t-shirts does not decide to chime in with their own political commentary not matter if it says "Trump Lover" or "I hate trees".

It is none of their business to give their snide commentary in this manner, they can deny the order and that is fine, then I'll go somewhere else.

Inb4 someone thinks I'm a Trump or Hillary supporter - I can't even vote in your country so I don't really care about them.
