Avengers 2: Age of Ultron - Official Teaser Trailer

RFlagg says...

Seriously! I mean we got Hulkbuster armor! The way everyone is in the room with Banner but looking away and he looks like he just did something bad... more and more hints of a possible Planet Hulk movie! Andy Serkis, in an unknown roll... (I've heard guesses as to him being Ulysses Klaw, but I don't know who that is at all but based on the pics from the comics and his back story it sounds likely). Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch... Thor grabbing Tony Stark, and Tony's statements about the path he himself started (creating Ultron rather than Hany Pym) which might hint at Civil War... so much geek going on in this trailer.

Also, Jame's Spader's voice acting was perfect.... The use of "I Got No Strings"... I'm pumped for a midnight showing myself.

It must really take a lot to get some of you folks aroused.

"aw who are we kidding? this movie is fucking awesome"
Amen brother, high hopes for the next one.
My brain is threatening to squeeze itself out my nose if The Dark Knight Rises sucks as much as Prometheus.

Current reviews on Rotten Tomatoes would indicate you have nothing to worry about there.

I know... got my tickets... excited like a kid on xmas eve.

Lots of cinemas here are showing Begins, Knight and then a midnight show of Rises. Would love to have gone, but have to teach tonight

I never did watch this " movie" is it worth it ? is it a musical ? I dont like musical movies, I always feel wierd when they dance and sing. uncomfortable if you will.

The only way you will truly "experience" this film is in a theater (preferably a midnight showing). Bring toast.

QFT

It is indeed a wholly different experience at a live showing, compared to watching it at home. Even this little clip seems wrong, without a crowd dubbing lines for Rocky ("Unhh!").

I myself would recommend bringing newspaper rather than toast, in self-defense. Toast, rice and squirt-guns are really for more advanced aficionados. And of course, costumes are only for the truly hardcore.

Dark Knight: Load of Tripe (Cinema Talk Post)

gwiz665 says...

Just returned from a midnight showing and overall: I like it.

Joker is very cool and the "pencil-trick" is not nearly as gory as my mind's eye pictured it. I love the little touches, where he feels very human, like when his remote doesn't work right.

Batman's gravely voice annoys me, but I can accept that he wants to shield his identity somewhat. The gadgets weren't that many, which is a good thing, but that sonar idea was just retarded.

The film dared some things that you didn't expect and copped out on some other stuff. If you enjoyed the first one, this is better. If you hated the first one, you're probably not going to like this one either.

Two-Face was very well done, both the cg and acting. He wouldn't be able to speak properly with half his lip missing, but I'll suspend that disbelief.

Genesis - And the Lamb lies down on Broadway

eric3579 says...

And the lamb lies down on Broadway.

Early morning Manhattan,
Ocean winds blow on the land.
The Movie-Palace is now undone,
The all-night watchmen have had their fun.
Sleeping cheaply on the midnight show,
It's the same old ending-time to go.
Get out!
It seems they cannot leave their dream.
There's something moving in the sidewalk steam,
And the lamb lies down on Broadway.

Nightime's flyers feel their pains.
Drugstore takes down the chains.
Metal motion comes in bursts,
But the gas station can quench that thirst.
Suspension cracked on unmade road
The trucker's eyes read 'Overload'
And out on the subway,
Rael Imperial Aerosol Kid
Exits into daylight, spraygun hid,
And the lamb lies down on Broadway.

The lamb seems right out of place,
Yet the Broadway street scene finds a focus in its face.
Somehow it's lying there,
Brings a stillness to the air.
Though man-made light, at night is very bright,
There's no whitewash victim,
As the neons dim, to the coat of white.
Rael Imperial Aerosol Kid,
Wipes his gun-he's forgotten what he did,
And the lamb lies down on Broadway.

Suzanne tired her work all done,
Thinks money-honey-be on-neon.
Cabman's velvet glove sounds the horn
And the sawdust king spits out his scorn.
Wonder women draw your blind!
Don't look at me! I'm not your kind.
I'm Rael!
Something inside me has just begun,
Lord knows what I have done,
And the lamb lies down on Broadway.
On Broadway-
They say the lights are always bright on Broadway.
They say there's always magic in the air.
