If people don't want to plant vegetable gardens, then what about habitat for something to live in? Lawns are a wasteland for native plant, animal, fungal, and bacteria species.
Also, I don't buy the carbon sink thing. Powered lawnmowers put out a lot of CO2. Also, a lot of cut grass decays... and that releases greenhouse gasses as well.
Oh.. and 'pesticides' were mentioned, but what about herbicide and fertilizer run off?
OhX2... and lawns are reeeaaaally ugly!

then there was the time I electrocuted my physics teacher in grade 12 lol

air puck with string of beads down hose so based on frequency you could create data points on a piece of paper as the puck travelled in an arc (table was slightly elevated so there was a slope)... you engage the electricity by stepping on a pedal



he called me over to look at something, stepped fully on the pedal while he was holding the puck in his hand lol

i was oblivious, my buddy figured it out because he was looking at my teacher and had heard the zap, zap, zap, zap... the teacher was getting shocks but held onto the puck, trying to figure out what was going on... until finally he threw the puck... the beads in the tube came apart, funnelled out the tube and had to be rethread

Currently unemployed, until next week when I'll be appearing as a maintenance technician at a well-established rural golf course. (Clean-up plan: Work wrenches and lawnmowers for 3 months and bail~Free golf on my days off + 1.

Clean living for chump change then off to a gig that pays with cool hours (2 weeks on, 7-12's, two weeks off)-Plan to save a shitload of cabbage and continue evading federal income taxes like my grandfather before me. (Filed maybe 3 times in the last 30 years)
